Yesterday was awful. Then lastnight Jimmy and I got in to it a little bit. Nothing major, he was just having his own pitty party and it ticked me off because I am the one who is sick and pregnant! He appologized and now everything is fine. I am still sick today, but I want so bad to get out of the house. I just don't think I can. Atleast it is friday. How are you doing? 38 weeks on monday!! Did you get everything done? We have family portraits next saturday and Jimmy and my brother are going to finish Nathaniel's room afterward. They are putting up beadboard and chair rail. That sucks that Rachel puked in your her carseat. I can only imagine the mess. I didn't tell you that a few days ago Maddy pooped in the tub while Jimmy was giving her a bath. When he told me I had to laugh. One time she had diarrhea in the tub while I was bathing her, so I fiugured it was his turn. Anyway, I hope you are feeling as good as possible. Let me know if anything happens.

well, yesterday may have been c___ppy for YOU but today was MY day. ugh...I went to run some errands and when I got in my car I dropped my cell phone in my gla__s of water - and it was soaked and is totally dead, shorted out...trashed. So I went to call Tim from BabiesRus - there was a pay phone nearby - and I was going to use his work cell for a while but then my truck was having some issues turning - so I freaked out about being stuck on the side of the road with Rachel and a big fat belly in the heat -and bought a new phone up the street at Verizon. :) I was really p__sed. What a total waste of my day. We came home right after that and she went down for her nap. Thank goodness I left with lots of snacks and lunch for her! I must have known. :) Thank goodness I have no poop stories yet - but I'm sure my day will come. I'm packing extra clothes wherever I go from now on - guess you never know what will happen! ;) Hope today is going better for you - let me know what the say about the sugar in your urine. My bbq/baby shower is tomorrow - I think I'm going to make it!! yay!!!

I'm sorry your day was so c___ppy. Your shower tomorrow should be a lot of fun. I hope you get lots of great stuff! Anyway, we did get out a bit today and then Maddy played in the pool across the street at Julies for about an hour. It is so hot outside, I am so glad we have AC. Well, I have to figure out what's for dinner, probably just pizza from Papa Murphy's. Let me know how your shower went. Have fun!!!

hey - my day got better. I realized my truck had somehow been put into 4WD and that's why it was acting up. :) haha....then we went to see the Narnia movie and dropped Rachel off at my sisters. yay!! Some free time again - in a cool theater. It was really nice. We've been outside since about 8:30 and it's so freaking hot!!!!!! I can hardly stand it! I'm swelling big time too! I have NO idea what to wear this evening cuz I'm too fat for anything that is cool enough. :) My feet are getting puffy and feel uncomfortable. Yikes. Well, Rachel is in her swimsuit and ready to go in the pool already. I'll have to take some pics and upload them to her site. We're just waiting for the sunscreen to soak in. I want to jump in the pool with her!! Tim's working on finishing our patio poor guy! Hey, I hope you guys have a GREAT day today and stay cool in you AIR CONDITIONED HOUSE!!! :)

Glad to hear there is nothing wrong with your truck. How was the baby shower? Did you get lots of stuff? We were gone until about 2pm today and didn't turn the ac on until we got home. It was 85 degrees in the house, the ac has been on for about 8 hours and it is finally 72 in the house but it is set for 68. We had a full day, went to breakfast, went to the park (too hot by the way), and then home to play in the pool. We were in with Maddy for about an hour and a half. I had to wear the bathing suit I wore at 3 mos pregnant when I was pregnant with Maddy. Needles to say it did not fit well. I had to cut two slits in the bottoms to keep them from strangling me. I decided today that I need another bathing suit that fits. I can't go another 2 months without one. Anyway, we bbq'ed dinner and spent the rest of the evening inside. I felt sorry for Julie and her family, so we invited them over to cool off. It was nice to have friends over, even though we see them all the time. Maddy didn't get to bed until after 9pm and now it is 10:17 so I have got to go. I'll talk to you tomorrow. I can't wait to see you in the hospital and meet Tim and your little guy!

We had a scary night lastnight. Jimmy and I "did the deed" and right afterward my uters tightened up hard as a rock (normal I know), but it didn't let up. I got a hot shower and it still lasted for 15 minutes. I got out, drank 20 ounces of water and layed down. Finally I got some relief, but it was short lived. Really intense BH came on one after another every 2-4 minutes and lasted anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. I tollerated this for an hour and then called to on-call OB. She said I probably over did it during the day in the heat. That made sense. So, she said to get in a really warm bath for 15 minutes and then get out, drink another 40 ounces of water and lay down on my left side. She said that if it was still happening 45 minutes later (total of 2 hours), that she wanted me to meet her at L&D. Well, 2 hours later it was still happening, but not as severe. By this time it was 1am. The last thing I wanted to do was go to L&D for no reason, and on top of everything have to tell them we had s_x! I stuck it out and finally got some real relief, and a little bit of sleep. This morning I am still having some, but also feeling movement. I really don't think I need to go, but my poor tummy is so sore from all the work. It just feels tired. The whole thing just really freaked me out. How are you doing?

fefer1 - May 19

hey, I know what you mean about the BH - mine were really bad on Saturday and I think part of it is heat induced. I was trying to drink lots of water but just couldn't seem to get enough. My feet and pretty much every body part swelled up SO bad - and they still are puffy. It hurts my feet to walk. I do hear that s_x can irritate things and cause BH - how are you doing now? I went a whole day almost with that happening and water and resting really did help - but it took a little bit. My party was pretty good, we got a bunch of clothes, some diapers, wipes...toys...and a mobile that I wanted. It was just so hot I had a hard time feeling real good while I was there. Our house was 85 when we got home at 10pm...and we don't have AC. I was so miserable!! Friday was pretty bad too - last night I slept GREAT though!! I don't remember really tossing and turning at all. Got up to pee at 2 -woke up at 3 to a crying Rachel (who just needed to be tucked back in) but then was back to sleep till 7:30! Awesome. :) Rachel played in the pool Saturday morning - at 10am - and had a ton of fun outside. I was so freaking hot and Tim was finishing our patio. His back is all red now too - but I'm sure it will be tan before long. He gets so dark just looking at the sun. NO fair. :) ok - I need to get going. I have to run back to Babies-R-Us or target and pick up a few baby things I still need and try to get to Costco before nap time. Oh...my office called Friday to tell me not to bother coming in anymore - since I'm supposed to be taking it easy anyways. :) So no more work for a few months!!! Now I have too much free time!!

mjvdec01 - May 19

That's nice that you don't have to go back to work. ONLY TWO WEEKS TO GO!!! Other than being hot and swollen, how are you doing? Any real contractions at all? Saturday night really freaked me out. I have never had quite that sensation before with BH. Yesterday I took it easy and didn't do much, but today, after I got a shower and was dressed I had a ton of energy. I took Maddy and ran a bunch of errands. Since she got up so early this morning (6:15am), we were home to play in the pool before naptime. I feel pretty good today, just like you though, my feet are killing me. All this extra weight is hard on out little feet. I can't imagine being obese and having this pain all the time. I am so looking forward to losing the weight after he is born. Then I can go to Vegas and not be the "fat friend". I refuse to be the "fat friend!!!" It sounds like your shower went well and you got some things you needed. My shower isn't until June 21st, it's just going to be a couple of friends and my family this time. My shower when I was pregnant with Maddy was a big one. I just don't need that much stuff. Yesterday I scrubbed my Graco Metrolite stroller that we used with the infant carrier when Maddy was little, so I can use it for Nathaniel. The last time we used it was last september when we went to San Diego to take Maddy to the theme parks. While we were there it got caked with sunscreen and she actually peed in it once. We were trying to change her diaper in it and we weren't quite fast enough. I took it out on the deck and scrubbed the whole thing with dish soap and a scrub brush, then just rinsed it well with the hose. It took a few hours to dry outside, but now it is clean. I am going to wait to see if I even need a double, Maddy is getting big and she would rather walk. I want to see how it all works out first. Anyway, I need to sit on the couch and put my feet up. Let me know if anything exciting happens!

fefer1 - May 19

nothing exciting happening yet. :) My BH are a lot worse or more noticeable this time around, maybe party because I just had Rachel not long ago. We went to Target and picked up a few things and came home and took naps. :) It was sooo nice! I just get so d__n tired these days. I can hardly get the energy to do my dishes or cook dinner. All that extra weight IS killer. I tell Tim all the time now that I feel for Obese people - or can understand how hard it is to get motivated to change. It's hard when you're big!!! Hey, tomorrow is a full moon -maybe JR will decide to come out then! :)

fefer1 - May 20

last night was terrible. I got no sleep. My cat got out thanks to Tim leaving the door open downstairs while he was working out so I was stressed about that - then I had horrible pains in my hips and legs and started getting crampy contractions at 4:30am and was miserable. NOthing relieved them. They eventually went away and I think I slept from 6-7:30....ugh. Anyways, I'm gonna shower and go to my appointment. I'll let you know how it goes! Your next appointment is next week and then every week, right? Hey - it's a full moon today!

mjvdec01 - May 20

I'm sorry you had such a rough night. I slept alright, but I had a horrible nightmare that something happened to Madalyn. It was awful. Yesterday I had so much energy and today I am dragging and all I want to do is sleep. I did get a babysitter for one day a week though, for three hours. When I worked at Dinner's Ready we worked together. She is about 55 or so and is such a great lady. She lives about a mile or so away, has her own grandkids and thinks Maddy is adorable. I'm just going to have her here from 10:30 to 1:30. It's perfect because she will help me around the house and play with Maddy so I can go upstairs and rest, or go to my OB appointments. She is starting tomorrow. She didn't hesitate to say yes when I asked her. We are going to pay her $12 hour to be here and do whatever I need and play with the kid so I can have a break. We will see if I still want her to come after Nathan is born. I can't wait for naptime to get here, I am exhausted and I just want to lay down. Anyway, were the contractions you had lastnight real ones or just painful BH? Any indication that it will be soon? I have to know what your OB says. My next OB appointment is next thursday and then again two weeks later at 34 weeks. Then I think one more at 36 weeks and then weekly. I just want this OVER! I am just so miserable at times, which are becoming more and more often. I am sure you feel the same. This kids kicks are beoming more and more forceful, and a bit painful. At my last appointment the nurse told me that she would talk to Dr. Edstrom about inducing at 7 days early. I need the date to be the 17th to work the way that is best for Jimmy and my mom. It wouldn't be the end of the world if it wasn't the 17th, but it would make things a bit nicer. I hope to hear from you soon.

fefer1 - May 20

hey there - ok , the dr says I 'm almost to 4cm and again, totally shocked she didn't hear from me this weekend. She says if I do anything really strenuous, extra walking etc, I should move things right along and he should just pop on out. She says she would almost guarantee a fast delivery for me. I hope she's right on all counts. :) I went to lunch and to Ross with a friend after my appointment and then came home and took a nap with Rachel. I'm so wiped out. I know how you're feeling. One day I have tons of energy and then the next I can't hardly get out of bed or keep my eyes open. That's awesome that you're getting some help! I'm so jealous! I want to hire a maid for a month or two after Jr. is born but I know we won't. I can't stand other people cleaning my house - I'd clean it just to have it clean before they got here. :) Well I hope the 17th works for you guys! I have to run and get Rachel, I hear her fussing in her bed. I'll catch up with ya later!

I am on pins and needles just waiting to hear that your labor has started. How lucky you are to be pretty much a 4 already! I know what you mean about other people cleaning your house. My problem is that I like it done a certian way. I have had cleaning ladies in the past, but it never works out because they just don't "do it right", that is MY WAY. Cynthia, the gal who will be helping me out is meticulous with her cleaning and I trust her with Madalyn. The only things I really need help with are getting the laundry out of the dryer, and getting it upstairs, putting away the dishes, and picking up toys off the floor. Just basicly keeping things put away. Other than that I just want her to do what Maddy wants to do and keep her busy so I can rest a bit. Well, I hope you go in to labor soon so the misery can end. I can only dream that when it is my turn that I progress as well as you are. Well, I have to go get Maddy up from her nap. See ya!

hey- I feel really c___ppy tonight. I don't know if it's labor or what. I feel kind of crampy and nauseated - kind of like I have an upset stomach from something I ate. My back is aching too. I HOPE it's the start but...I don't really know what real labor is like since I was induced!! Tim will be home from teaching in an hour so ... hope nothing happens till then! We went for a walk and I thought I was gonna die. I had horrible BH's - so bad I thought my stomach was going to rip open and my right side felt raw like the baby was rubbing it too hard.

fefer1 - May 21

no baby yet....I really thought it was gonna happen last night but...nothing. grrr...I'm soooo tired of being pregnant right now!
