I was supposed to be due on the 5th but after I had him and looked him over they said that he looked like a 34 week old instead. He is so small. He weighs 5 pounds and 4 ounces. And 17 inches long. Poor little baby has no fat on him. Good luck everyone.

Congrats Amanda that's wonderful! Looks like your little guy wanted to have his 1st xmas this year not next year after all. Sorry to hear he was on the small side, but as long he is healthy that's the main thing. Can't wait to hear the full birth story. Well I've still been having some irregular contractions from time to time that are nothing like BH , but I'm still really hoping s/he will wait til after xmas to be born. I will be 38wks xmas day so hopefully I won't go into labour then lol. How is everyone else?

my contractions just keep coming, my next appointment is tomorrow morning, i am ready to go and see what's going on. I am pretty sure that my cervix will be almost totally dialated since i was over half way there monday of this week. hopefully tho i will be ok, and not have to go to have the baby early. I dont think my doc would take her early unless she had no choice, but still i dont wanna be put in that position to make that decision, i dont wanna put my little baby in danger, but at the same time, i dont wanna go into labor on my own if its gonna be potentially dangerous also. either way i only have 18 days left until i give birth, so i am ready. I have really really dropped also, my stress level is a little higher than i would like since my family on my husbands side want us to come for christmas, but they are quite a ways away in greensburg,yes the tornado town may 2007, but i cant travel that far away, since its hours and hours from the hospital that i am going to deliver at. we can go see my family becuase they are only about 30 minutes away, which also makes me feel bad. does anyone have issues with contractions later at night? i usually start having them regularly around this time of day, and then i end up having them every 3-7 minutes by midnight...its odd well ladies i will let you all kno how my appointment tomorrow goes have a nice night and austynsmommy....congrats

Just visiting from February mommies... and wondering what happened at Misscrotts appointment yesterday. It's amazing, it's almost January and time for you ladies to go and then I'm due at the beginning of February. It seems so close when I think of it like that but then I think 6 1/2 more weeks and that doesn't seem so close. lol

How is everyone?

I'm doing well. I'll be 37 weeks on Friday, so full term... My doc told me not to travel for the the holidays, so instead, my fam and my dh's fam are coming into town starting today until Sunday...it's going to be exhausting!! I would rather travel than host people at my place all week and weekend. Don't get me wrong, I want to see all of them, it's just our place is kinda small, so it gets cramped, and after a few days, I'm ready to be alone again :) I hope everyone has a great holiday!! And, congrats to all those people that have already had their little ones or will be very soon!!

well, my doctors appt on monday went really really well. I have not dialated anymore or effaced or nething, so i am probably going to go until my c section but hey its only 2 weeks from today, so thats not bad next week about this time i will be starting to get a little nervous lol. I am 37 weeks today.....and i ended up spending most of the night on the 23rd in the labor and delivery becuase i was going to get my hubby from work and slipped on the ice...fell on my stomach, then i got up and went back in the house to just sit for a minute, and then i figured ok i know what its like out there i'll be ok, i got about 3 more feet than the first time and fell again. both times on my belly just all out i couldn't catch myself or anything because it was so slick. so all my weight was straight on my baby twice. i went to labor and delivery to be monitored, and everything was fine, baby wasn't moving as much as it normally does, but it was just because of the shock the nurse said. i am very very very sore now becuase of the falls, i hurt my back, left hip and belly. then i had to have friends go get my hubby cuz i couldn't drive or anything, the friend that got him got me off the ground the second time i fell, i called my hubby at work to tel him what had happened and he was getting off about five minutes after i called so he was rushing to get home to me and he slipped and fell when he was coming out of the prison, we are all alright thank god, i was really worried about the baby. I had never had nething like that happen to me before, and it was eleven at night so i didn't think anyone would be out to help me, it was so slick that i couldn't get up by myself. i would have just been stuck there until my husband got home from work which wouldn't have been quick becuase he would have waited on me for quite awhile. Well my christmas has gone good so far, we went to visit the inlaws in greensburg, and nothing went wrong with me while we were there, and today we have been running all over the place with my parents, but it has been really fun. Well ladies, i am going to get off here and spend some time with the fam, but i am doing good and countin down hopefully we will have a baby pretty quick!! but either way the babys only 2 weeks away!!! Hey ladies. How is everyone doing? Any new babies yet? How was everyone's Christmas?

Well Ladies, I just wanted to give an update! My daughter Makayla was born on Christmas Eve, as a result of a C-Section. As many of you know, I've been going to weekly u/s to monitor growth, because my ds was small at birth. We had thought we'd deliver last week (at 36 weeks), but the u/s showed continued growth so we went another week. We had our latest u/s Wednesday morning, and they figured that the baby was now in the 5th percentile, so they suggested that I go to the hospital to see what the drs. thought. Dr. on call thought it best to deliver the baby, as babies who are between the 5th and 10th percentile, could potentially become distressed. Given that I was 36w6d, we all thought it would be best (and my ob had felt this way as well). Anyway, I couldn't be induced because I had a C-section with ds, so this automatically became a C-section delivery. After waiting around until the anesthesiologist was free, I went into surgery just after 9:30pm, and Makayla was born at 9:51pm. She weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz, and was 19.5 inches long. As with all C-sections, I had to be in the hospital for 3 days, so we just came home this afternoon. It feels sooo good to be home!!! Anyway, she sleeps a lot, but is eating well so I'm relieved. It was the best Christmas present we could have ever asked for! I hope all of you had a great Christmas and I wish you all the best in the New Year!

misscrotts glad you & the baby are ok, that must have been pretty scary landing on your tummy like that. Congratulations babeedust! I'm so glad she is ok & obviously healthy as you could take her home. Sorry you had to go through another c-section but at least you didn't have to worry about her being stressed out because of her size. Well I made it through xmas without having bubs (sooo happy about that) & it has now just become a waiting game as I'm 38.5wks. I woke up twice last night with painful contractions & both times I got up & went to the toilet, had a drink of water & managed to go back to sleep. They stopped by this morning but I'm now feeling quite nauseas so who knows. I never had this amount of pre-labour stuff with dd or ds so I'm hoping that it will mean a quick & easy labour. Anyway I'll keep you all posted if anything happens & hope you all had a wonderful xmas. austynsmommy how are you going? How is Andrew?

Congrats babeedust2all on your daughter. What a great Christmas present for you guys. I hope your not to sore. misscrotts I'm glad everything was ok with you and your baby. I feel when I was pregnant with my daughter and it scared me. Well me and Andrew are doing great. I don't even feel like I had a baby. Except my b___b's. They really hurt. Andrew is an awsome eater and sleeper. He is such a great baby. David went back to work on weds. It hasn't been bad at all having three kids. Amanda

oh it was scary when i fell, but it hurt more than nething else. i probably would have stayed home if i wasn't hurting as bad as i was....i have gained quite a bit of weight this pregnancy and for all of it to come down straight on the baby was worriesome...since it didn't move until about 6 hours later. i'm sure it was just shock, but i was still a little worried about the baby.My husband also was a big reason i went, he was really really worried about the baby and myself, he rushed out of work to get to us and got me straight to the hospital, so i am fourtunate to have someone like him. Well i'm not feeling good, i think that i am going to go to bed. have a good night ladies
