Good morning ladies. CeeCee, it is normal to have those pains after your membranes are stripped. I had mine stripped with my daughter, but not this time. I am going mall walking with a friend and the kids today too. I need to progress more, for my own sake. My induction is in 6 DAYS! I feel so much better today than I did yesterday, no morning sickness yet this morning (knock on wood). Lucky, how is your mom doing? I hope she is going to be alright. Okay, so it seems we all need to get walking, so I'll check back in a bit. Contractions for everyone!!!

You know, I want to walk the mall tonight, but DH said, "The doctor said not to force anything. You don't want to force labor." Okay, yeah I agree, but I'm due on Sunday, am 2 CM, and have had my membranes stripped. I think it's time to help things along more.

CeeCee, that is odd. My OB says the opposite, he is encouraging me to walk as much as I can and spend at least an hour on my ball. He also said I could use my b___st pump. If I were you I would do as much walking as possible. It's not like you have your own pitocin drip at home. I just got back from my walk, and once I get my daughter situated with her snack and a cartoon, I am getting on my ball for awhile. Do what you can within reason, and don't feel like you are doing anything wrong. The goal is to GET THAT BABY OUT!! How is everyone else?

That does sound odd since the dr was willing to do an intervention such as stripping your membranes, but tells you not to walk the mall? Your confusion is definately understandable

Mandi that is soo sweet of you to offer your bedding. Reading that post put the biggest smile on my face! lol I told my boyfriend about it and he said he was really looking forward to picking out her bedding together (we had plans to go on MOnday) so I guess we're just going to buy her bedding. Thank you so much for offering though. I don't know why but the only thing my boyfriend has had interest in is her bedding! He wasn't interested in buying her clothes, her crib, her ba__sinet...nothing! But for some reason the bedding he wants to be a part of the decision making. Like a few months back I had seen one on the net I liked...It was a girly Pooh Bear themed bedding and I showed it to him and he said he didn't like it and that he wanted to make sureI got a bedding he liked too. Weirdo. lol So Monday we're supposed to go shopping and get the final things we need for Lilah. A mattress for her crib, the bedding, and a tub. Then we're going to go out to the movies and out to eat which should be fun because I haven't really done much in a while and it'll probably be the last time i get to go out for a while.

I got home around 6 and I went into a cleaning frenzy! I started cleaning my room like crazy. Cleaning the corners of the walls with the broom, washing my bedspread and my curtains and dusting. Since I had so much energy I decided to go walking. I walked 1 1/2 miles and now I can barely walk! There's so much pressure when I walk I know I look really funny. I wanted to sit on my ball for a while but I'll probably wait for the pressure to go away before I do. I don't wanna over do it. I just wanna do as much as I can to help things progress! I can't wait to get this baby out!

Hi girls! I'm so sorry for not posting sooner or more as it really makes me feel awful, but I had NO IDEA how much work this little one would be. I'm having a bit of the baby blues to say the least so I'm glad to have my mom here and the help I have. She is probably leaving today and I'm really scared. All is well but Ava is back to not latching well and my nipples hurt so bad. She sleeps well one day and then the next she only eats and cries. It's not a colic kind of thing, but I think just getting in a schedule (ha, what schedule!? lol) anyways, I wanted to stop in and let you all know we are ok and I WILL post pics soon, but I just now took my first shower since the birdbath at the hospital and that is sad. I feel better, but need to do about a million things today before I can get to downloading all the pics. I will do it soon! Before the weekend is out. I still need to read up on everyone too as I admit I didn't even do that....let me check.

ok, it sounds like you girls are all ready to go!!! :) Hang in there and you will be done before you know it. I know now though what all my friends meant when they said to relish pregnancy and having her inside me. My delivery went so beautifully that I wish I had embraced it more if that makes sense and now I do really really miss her movements in my belly. She is amazing outside of course, but I think it is the hormones that make me feel this way, don't know. Oh, MJ I did have an episiotomy...a small one and she didn't tell me the degree. I just use a bottle of squirt water when I go to the bathroom. IT is ok now, but was pretty painful for the last two days. I'm not taking my pain meds anymore though as they made me feel really out of it.

Oh, I wanted to let you girls know too that I will most likely take down my pics on the july mommies piczo and redirect you all to the piczo that Jessie and I have had going the whole pregnancy for family and friends. I just can't handle updating 3 piczo sites right now ( I had this one, my family one and then one for the miscarriage group I chat with here on this site). I just wanted to let you all know so you didn't think i bailed or jumped ship, LOL! I will give the address to you all to view her photos when I get them ready. Love you all....Stef

Hey girls..I've missed talkin to you guys so much! I had Brooklynn on July 6th...went into labor and delivery on the 5th and stayed the night i got my water broke the next day. I have to keep it short but I was in labor for 10 hrs...I did get an epi but not till i was 7 cms. I was in to much pain but good thing i did because Brooklynn dropped into the birth ca___l when i was only barely 9 cms and not all the way effaced so I ended up having a emergency c section. It was so very scary...her heart rate dropped to 40 per min. So they shot me up with a whole bunch of stuff and pulled her out basically lol. She is so beautiful...I just wish she would have been totally healthy. She is in NICU right now because she developed group strep b even though i was tested negitive for it. She has to stay in the hospital for at least 8 more days. She got air vacked 6 hrs after she was born, it was really hard to see her go and not beable to go with her. But im staying a block away from where she is at so that is nice. She has to get a spinal tap tomorrow to check and see if she has meningitus, I really hope she doesn't. Well srry its so long wanted to give ya an update. Talk to you ladies later. Love Charlotte
