TINA- as for green discharge my doctor thought it was from me getting over my UTI n the pills i was on i only had it liek 3 times that day n never since. well i lost my plug on teh 1st n it regrew & im losing it as of right now (so im thinking i must or might be dilating right now (if im losing the plug again? right cuz u lose it as your dilating) so yah. i know im more then frustered lol but waht can i do? the longer hes in the better off but the earlier hes out the better for me haha. but its about him right now so its okay i just had the constant contractions with no dilation. =[ so we can only hope n see right? but thats how i was with kelsey once i got to 1.5 cms i couldnt get farther until they gave me pitocin. =[ but since im 37 weeks they will give it to me now with good constant n stronger contractions =] so im a bit excited i will defiently text u if i go n & they actually admit me n keep me to have a baby =] i will keep you ladies as informed as i am lol. but i dont want to text u all saying its the real deal n it not be again lol.

Kendra, as I always say...hang in there girl! LOL, gosh I really feel bad that you have had this neverending labor :( When is your next doctors appointment? TINA, now that is good to know about the contracting after having a cervix check! That would have been very nice for the dr. to tell me that, ha ha....Seriously I was thinking of going to l&d, but I think I just knew it was wishful thinking on my part for some reason. Sorry I've been MIA, but minutes (literally) after my mom left my dad arrived with my grandmother to hang out for Father's Day, or actually the day before but you know. Now I've got some work to catch up on today before the week starts. I really really really hope I only have like 2 weeks left of work as I'm feeling drained right now. I went to bed at like 7:30 last night and slept till almost 8am today. I did wake up in the middle of the night but not more than usual.

TINA, I just now read what you wrote on the bottle thread and thank you so much because honestly I was starting to get overwhelmed. This BPA thing is scary, but for crying out loud! I can't afford to replace everything in my home at this point, lol....Anyways, when my mom and I went shopping I bought just two playtex drop ins bottles(small and large) and then liners for each so I can try it out. I am going to b___stfeed but figure i need bottles on hand anyways. I have a medela pump too and it has little bitty storage bottles not sure if those are just for storage or for feeding too? I have to get more accessories for it still. OK, so to sterilize the nipples you just boil them in water for 5 minutes? Is that after washing them in the dishwasher? Or do you not wash them at all, just sterilize in the boiling water?I really really don't want to go drop another 100 bucks on a sterilizer right now...

girls, i cant keep up with you guys! well i actually would if my darn pc would get fixed! hehe. KENDRA- i feel so sorry for you but hang in there! you will get to see your baby soon! wow1 alot of you guys are already 1 - 3cm dilated! i dont think i am. The last few days i have been getting braxton hicks every day, im also getting the annoying heartburn, which i am having right now :(
went for check up on friday and i gained 2 kilos! im happy i ve gained but also scared at the same time, thinking - how da hell im going push this baby out if its big?! and big to me is anything that is bigger than the size of your v____a enterance!! :p
That thing about BPA bottles is scary. you even got to think about the b___st pump your going to use if you are b___stfeeding as well some formula tins are made from them as well. i couldnt believe it when i read that most of the major big baby bottle companies uses these dangerous chemicals to make the baby bottles. gees, they do anything for profits huh? even selling their souls.

KOLLEEN - castor oil sucks - I tried it at i wanna say 38 weeks and all I got was diarrhea it was awful - I don't think I ever got any stinking contractions - i know a girl who it worked on both of her pregnancies but I just want you guys to know it's not guaranteed..LOL......since I will be 38 weeks Wednesday I am happy to wait it out until the 25th if she doesn't come before but I have another appointment Tuesday so we'll see what is going on.....I am going to load some pictures on myspace and maybe some photos on piczo of all the cool baby shower things I got it was awesome! My bff is nuts - she bought everything on my registry it's amazing I am so blessed I kept thanking her all day....LOL ....STEF - I only boil the nipples once I open them and then from there on out I just stick them in the dishwasher - I think a sterilizer is a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY so save your 100.00 for something you are really going to need like diapers and wipes and such If you want to you can even boil the bottles and rings for about 5 mins also - I don't bother because the contents of the bottles doesn't come in contact with the outer part of the bottles and good grief do women really think that this BPA is getting into their skin?? uh hello dude GIVE ME A BREAK!!! sorry to rant I just get so annoyed at the chicken littles that freak all of you first timers out. I have 2 sons that are perfectly healthy that used the playtex bottles with liner and or drop ins.....

That's what I say Tina...I tried saying something like that on the "baby bottles" or whatever thread, and everyone just started saying how it leaches out no matter what and blah, blah, blah...so I thought I'd just back down...well, kind of, hahaha. Like I said on there -- we are surrounded by things made of plastic, and pretty much all plastic has BPA in it. I'm still using my Avent bottles.

Elena -exactly I was getting so irritated I just found the nicest way to say what I needed to and left it alone - I was like seriously??? really??? is all the hype really that necessary???? and where are the studies that show all the harm on these babies and how many babies have actually been studied? ok I don't want to keep going on and on but I was so tired of that thread I just had to leave it alone before I made enemies..LOL......some women just love drama however I am not one of them......I just want some good advice without somene telling me that everything i am doing is harmful to my baby! Ok girls I am off to swim for a couple of hours!!! I hope to get some sn so I won't be so pale in my pictures of giving birth....I'll check in later after my mom gets here!!!! I am so excited

Tina and Elena, I agree with you guys and it is more rea__suring because you have kids already. I don't want to worry so much...i'm already over the top with worrying I don't need more stress, lol! TINA, have fun swimming! I got in yesterday for a bit and then started wondering if I should have when I'm dilated? Is that ok? I think it is supposedly ok as long as your water is not broken, but I'm kind of nervous about it now that I sat and though about it more....

STEF, it's ok to swim in the pool when you're dilated. You are right about not doing it once your water breaks. I read that you are supposed to shower instead of taking a bath once your water broke also. Oh...and here's food for thought, when they check you, don't they disturb or even pull out your mucus plug??? I remember my dr. checking me with Sasha and telling me that she could feel a little bit of hair (on the baby, hahahah), so that made me wonder how she could do that unless the plug isn't there anymore. I've also been reading a lot about your water breaking and then you going to the hospital right away and then your contractions not starting right away or not being strong enough so they put you on pitocin. So I was thinking that it probably wouldn't hurt to stay at home until your contractions start. What do yall think? Tina, did you say you were getting induced? I was wondering why?

Yea...so what does it mean when the doctor can feel the babies head? My doctor felt brooklynn's head...I guess i just figured he wouldn't beable to feel it right now, or something. Today has been such a tiring day and its mostly just because of the heat. I hate it when its hot, I wish I had a Pool..You guys are lucky lol. All we have is a spa, and yea I dont want to get into somthing like that now.

My dr. couldn't feel Ava's head because I asked if she's dropped more and she said no. So I guess she's not dropped all the way and I'm a__suming they have to be to be able to feel their head? That would be cool though! :) ELENA, I think there are lots of ways that labor can go...like some women start contractions before water breaks, some right after and some don't even start them after water breaks. It seems like anything can happen in any order, lol! I kind of hope mine breaks on its own so that I KNOW it's the real deal and can go to the hospital without guessing if this is it. I'm feeling really tired again today and wondering if it's going to be this way the rest of my pregnancy. I don't even really want to leave the house much and am kind of feeling stir crazy too. I figure though that the next week is the best time to get out and do things before the baby comes (like see a movie, go out to eat, etc.)

Oh blah, I feel the same way STEF. I just want this to be over with. I've been in the house allllll day and we don't even have groceries :( Oh, and I was just wondering about water breaking BEFORE you start having contractions, I was kind of hoping for that scenario this time. Last time I just started having contractions and then had to have my bag of waters broken at the hospital. Anyway, my dr. could feel her head AND HER HAIR, hahaha. She put her hand in there and said "I can feel a little bit of hair", I seriously thought she was talking about my crotch and was like "why would she say that???" but she was talking about the baby, lol. We went to the community pool the other day, it was the first time I swam in a large amount of water since I've gotten pregnant, and getting out SUCKED, I felt like a big beached whale, I barely climed up the ladder and made all kinds of noises and faces. Everyone was staring at me like they've never seen a pregnant woman before, which p__sed me off.

I know I got the stares when I went to the pool too. Older ladies were all like "you are soooo cute! when are you due?" etc, etc, but the younger people like 20s and under stared at me like I had 2 heads! You know the girls strutting around in bikinis and weighing like 95 lbs? ha ha.....I don't give a d__n because I'm so happy to be having this baby :-D I guess we are all just hangin out waiting and waiting now :)

TINA- LOL HEE HEE HAA HAA!!!! i have to laugh because i feel the same way you do about everyone freaking out. i mean seriously, all of the old school things that my mom did on me worked and im still alive right? i may have a few funny memories but im ok. i know that now they have learned new things about some of the things that were used way back when but our babies will not die right? the thing with the castrol oil i personaly would not try but some women get pretty desperate. my friend dramk it 4 times and only pooped and puked for days.. i felt bad for her. its sounds like you have a wonderful BFF to buy all your stuff from your registry. im going on tuesday to buy the rest of the needed items. my mom got me my stroller and my sister buy me my swing, so i get to pick those up also. well i hope everyone had a great weekend and fathers day. we are having some friends come over for a bbq so i have to get ready for that. ill check in before bed.

sasha it could be days before your contractions start after your water breaks- with my daughter my water broke at 6 am(but id dint know thats what it was just cuz it was leaking) i got to l & d around noon and i wasnt contracting they gave me PITOCIN to help me out & i thank god for that or i would have been in pain for many more hrs because i couldnt dilate.

But remember girls, if your water breaks or you suspect it breaks, get to l&d right away! I'm pretty sure they told us in childbirth cla__s that once your water breaks the baby needs to be out within 24 hours because of the risk for infection. Even if you don't contract on your own after your water breaks the dr. will start you on pitocin to bring on labor and if that doesn't work, a c-section will be performed to get baby out asap.
