But remember girls, if your water breaks or you suspect it breaks, get to l&d right away! I'm pretty sure they told us in childbirth cla__s that once your water breaks the baby needs to be out within 24 hours because of the risk for infection. Even if you don't contract on your own after your water breaks the dr. will start you on pitocin to bring on labor and if that doesn't work, a c-section will be performed to get baby out asap.

Good morning girls - swimming was WONDERFUL!!!! I felt so light and it took away alot of pressure....but like ELENA said getting out sucked - I jumped up on the ladder (figure of speech of couse since I don't jump anywhere at all...LOL) and felt all that weight and pressure and stayed in the water another 30 mins so I could mentally prepare for how uncomfortable I would be once I got out.....LOLOL.....STEF - swimming is perfectly fine until your water breaks. Trust me nothing is going to get in that amniotic sac....ELENA - I am getting induced because my mom was coming from so far away I was afraid she would miss the birth but now that she is here I am ok with the baby coming any time now...LOL...there is some concern that the baby will weigh close to 10 pounds especially after my last visit with me losing 2 pounds and the baby measuring 1 week ahead so we'll see.....other than that I have no real medical issue - my last baby was 9lbs 4oz and I had one little st_tch so I think I could have a 10 pound baby but ummm yeah why?? LOL.....but I have no super dangerous condition or anything my doctor is simply trying to accomodate my need for my mom to be there and now that she is here WOO HOO - I am ready to have this baby...but I sure wouldn't be upset if she stays in until the 25th ....I just think it would be way cool for my mom to spend as much time with her outside of my womb while she's here but my mom doesn't leave until the 8th of July so she will be here a good little while......KOLLEEN yes I do have the bestest friend ever - and I am glad to try to be the voice of calm reason when I see everyone getting all riled up on a thread .....especially my worry wart STEF I have to look out for her...LMAO..jk love you girl!! STEF I got some of those same looks yesterday from the skinny teenage daughters of some of our friends I was like yeah - uh keep your legs closed or you will look like me .....they laughed very nervously ..LOL...I am sure I made them think....I had to have my water broken with each birth usually after I idilated to 5 or 6cm then they would break it -with my last one once they broke my water I dilated from 5-10 in a matter of about 35 mins so......I will be ok if my water doesn't break until I go into labor.....ok girls now it's getting exciting I am a short 10 or so days from being induced!!! woo hoo

Good Morning Ladies, Kolleen i heard it was normal. Alyssa is not moving that much lately either but i still feel her through out the day... KENDRA at least you know you dont have much longer until he is here. Sorry about the flood though thats awful.. Is it still bad out there??? i heard swimming is a good exercise to help go into labor........ Well i had my baby shower this weekend. Not many people went but it was fun. Got alot of stuff well clothes, blankets, swing, bouncer, etc.. My boyfriends brother is throwing him a pamper party this sunday so that will be fun for him... I think if Alyssa decided to come early i will be ready... If not i only have 3 weeks left so at least thats not much further away :) Im so excited we dont have much more time left. Most of us will have our babies before the middle of july is up hopefully sooner YAY

HILLARY, congrats on the baby shower stuff! Isn't it fun to put everything into place? I did all of that too soon and wish I'd held out a bit. KOLLEEN, I posted on your thread! I totally understand your concern as i've felt the same way often. Just know those nurses in your doctors office are there for you to call! I've become pretty tight with the OB triage nurse that takes all the OB girl's calls and she is the BEST! I love her and will call about anything. She always eases my fears a lot. TINA, omg it totally hit me harder than ever when you said you are going to be induced in less than 10 days!!!! AGH!!!! That is so cool :) I know we are all close, but it's just so unreal still. Ok, I had some major frustration this morning...I have not really given much thought to getting a pediatrician set up until I went to my childbirth cla__s at like 32 weeks and they told us to go ahead and set it up. Well, I called today (at almsot 38 weeks, yikes) and I swear everyone is NOT taking new patients!!!! I finally settled on a nurse pract_tioner who is in the same practice as one of the doctors I really wanted so I guess that is the next best thing. I really hope I like her. I'm getting pretty nervous for everything to be ok with Ava too. I swear Tina if it weren't for your calming effect I'd have b__wn a blood vessel in my brain by now, LOL!!!

lucky- thanks. i know soon hopefully. my doctors appointment is this Wednesday now (i guess?) thats the earliest they could get me in which i could imagine they are one of the biggest ob's in my area. as for the FLOODING- well lets see (um the waters have went down; my work is no longer covered but we are having to re drywall the bottom 4 ft of our office (ect) on top of new floors and everything so just imagine that) n we were on the far edge imagine what our downtown area will be like? they said its over 54 billion dollars in damages here (From a flood? crazy i know!) i never expected it like this its crazy but its pretty bad

KOLEEN - yes it is normal for her movement to change so long as you still feel her you might want to do kick counts if you are nervous eat or drink something and lay down on your left side either in bed or on the couch and then count her movements.....you should get 10 distinct movement within an hour.......some doctors say 2 hours but 1 hour is easier and quicker.....Some days Megan moves like crazy and some days she is calmer but she ALWAYS moves where I can feel her.....I hope that helps you are not freaking out better to be safe than sorry.......if you feel like she doesn't move enough in that hour go right to labor and delivery and tell them your concern they will hook you up to a monitor and check her movement too......STEF - girl a RNP is as good as a doctor and you won't be waiting as long to get in to see the RNP as you will with the Doctor......plus you might actually get someone who listens to your concerns and addresses them.....so don't stress....I haven't bothered with making a pediatrician appointment whatever..LOL ...see by the time you get around to the 2nd or 3rd you will be so much more relaxed...LOLOL...I am glad I am able to help you stay calm I am so happy because I was a little nervous with my first baby and if I had had something like this it would have been so much better! HILLARY -Congrats on the baby shower and yes time flies when you only have 3 weeks left.....enjoy your last weeks I know I am .....even when I am uncomfortable I am in no hurry it's harder to carry them around in a car seat than in my belly....LOL ....Kendra that sucks about your office! WOW,,,,,so crazy that's a lot of damage....I hope you go pretty soon 9 days to go for me.......I am so excited.....ok girls I am going to rest and chat with my mom and Pastor Silvia Hugs everyone!

Yay! I'm so glad to hear Nevin is home! Congrats Heather!!!!!! :) KOLLEEN, isn't it a huge wave of relief when the start moving after being quiet? I swear my whole mood is based on how much Ava is moving, lol! When she is very slow or quiet I feel very on edge and can barely concentrate on what other people are saying or what is going on around me, but as soon as she gets going I'm on cloud nine :) Ok, I realized when I woke up this morning that some of us are having babies NEXT WEEK!!!!! omg, it's so cool. TINA, you are Wednesday right? and Kolleen, you might be next Friday? I was reading on a weekly newsletter that I got that from weeks 38 to 42 the baby is due anytime. Our due dates are just the date that falls in the middle of that spectrum! So really this week some of us are hitting that 38 week point which is exciting!

STEF- yeah im going to be induced next friday, if i make it that long. i just went to target and safeway and noticed that im having the tightness type of contraction every 5-7 min. now do those ones count? you know how they say that b/h are the tighting ones and real contractions hurt ( well at least thats what my bff keeps telling me) and that you count only the painful ones. well im confused what ones to count. but last friday i was 2 cm and 75%effaced and lylee is at -1 so the tightning ones must be doing something right? God i cant wait to hold her in my arms and kiss her little feet and love on her you know? it seems like ive been pregnant for an eternity...... 9 months is a long time.... LOL. well im pooped and need to lay down. ill check in later
