Stef- Yea Im due on July 4th also! My doctor appointments are usually on Friday, but my doctor is going out of town...so I can't have her this weekend...cross your fingers! I really want my doctor to deliver her cuz he delivered me...so thats so cool.

Hi girls, Hillary I got that text from Tina too about the 5cm and 50% effaced...I don't think I have another one after that. I have been out from 5pm till now so all evening. I just wanted to check here and see if there is any new news. Well, I'm hoping I sleep well tonight as I'm anxious for my appt tomorrow! I'll post if I get a new text before falling asleep otherwise it will be in the morning. HUGS

Happy early Friday to all...I slept well until 4am, lol. Ok, I have text updates from Tina: At 10:51pm central time she said "Time to rock and roll I am 7 completely effaced feeling lots of pressure". Then at 1:43am I got another text that says "Megan has charlie brown head I am headin for c section will text when I am coherent"....So, I'm sure we will hear news soon when she feels like texting! Now I'm going to do the ol read a book till I fall back asleep thing. Agh, I can't do this every night...

Wow, I woke up just in time...Kendra just texted and said "Im at l n d contractions are like one minute apart and im walking still 3cm they said i'll more than likely be admitted."

I woke up in the middle of the night with some wicked horrible pain way down low and couldn't sit or lie down till it pa__sed, but I think it was gas really because it didn't come in waves like a contraction would. I've not had this the whole time though. It hurt to sit on the toilet because of the pressure.

WOOOHOOOO! A new update from Tina! : "Megan Vaughn born via c section for charlie brown head 6/27/08 12:31am 8lbs 1oz, 19 1/2 inches long" Way to go Tina and Welcome baby Megan to the world! :D

Kendra said they are having her get in the whirlpool...I asked if she was admitted but haven't heard back yet.

How exciting. I am so ready for Kayla to make her debut. I am happy to read that we have two successful births so far. The next to go will be Kendra. That's great. It would be so nice if when I go to the doctor on tuesday, she says, "Well you are 4 cm, we will admit you." I wish! :) Have any of you been experiencing period like cramps and lots of soft poo? What does it mean?

Congrats to all the new mommies. Can't wait to chat about our bundles of joy.

Hi ceecee! Well, I tried to go back to sleep for a bit, but no luck. It seems everyone but me is having the cramps and/or soft poo. I wish I had some indicator of labor, but nothing at all. UPDATE: Kendra texted and she is now at 4cm. That is all she said so I am guessing they will keep her at the hospital since she is there now? I'd love to be told i'm 4cm today too, but I would think I'd feel something if I were that dilated, lol :)

Well hang in there Stef. You are 39 weeks? I am getting tired of being pregnant. I didn't think it was possible, but I am. I feel guilty reading about how to safely begin labor though, because I am only in my 38th week. Everything I have read says not to try anything until you are past 40 weeks. So have people said that the cramps and poo are signs of approaching labor? What have you been feeling?

Yes, I've been reading that menstrual type cramps and loose stools are some big signs of impending labor! It sounds promising :) I haven't had much at all. I have been 1cm dilated at my past 2 appointments and the baby has dropped a bit more each time. I find out today if I've progressed more. I'm 39 weeks today so who knows? I don't honestly think any things that start labor really will work unless your body and baby are ready. My dr. has been planning to induce me a week early because of blood thinners I'm on (she needs me to stop the meds 24 hours before labor)....anyways I will findout today if she still is going to do that or not. Since I've known she may do that I figured it wouldn't hurt to try some things this past week. I did s_x, walking, squats and that's pretty much it and nothing helped --oh, acupunture too. I haven't tried really hard though and won't do anything like castor oil or blue or black cohosh. Herbal stuff, huh-uh. I feel some cramps today and yesterday, but they feel more like intestinal/bowel type stuff and not uterine, you know? Well, I'm going to work a bit and then shower. I'll post back about my appt. in a while!

Congratulations Tina and Kolleen... I just texted Kendra but someone wrote back that they will let me know whats up and that she was sleeping right now. They said that she is 4 cm and they believe they will keep her but they have not totally said they are yet... Poor thing they need to let her have him.

I had my doctors appt this morning. im 38 weeks and 2 days and they did not check me. They asked if i was having any contractions and im not. i get them here and there during the day but nothing constint. He thinks Alyssa will be a 8 1/2 to 9 pounds... I was all then do something to help me get her out so she does not grow any more :) Next week they will check me and if dilated at all they said if i want they will sweep my membranes so we will see.. He told me have s_x or go for a walk. I told him i was doing that but im going to do it more this weekend and go get that ma__sage that my friend thinks might help so we will see. Oh and i didnt gain any weight which im proud of because i have already gained like 50 pounds

Hillary, that sounds good! Wow, I can't believe how much she weighs already! I would be a bit scared too, lol ;) OK KENDRA texted just now and said "Def admitted they gave me meds and now getting ready for my epi" -- Sounds like she's having that baby here today! Congrats Kendra!!! :)
