Hey...just checking in before heading out for most of the evening...errands and all kinds of super fun stuff, lol ;) CHARLI, Congrats on the baby girl!!!! wooohooo! So very cool about the hair. I can bet mine won't have any hair at all as I've had ZERO heartburn and basically both Jessie and I are blonde and blondes tend to have that wispy thin hair that takes forever to come in, lol....well if my baby is anything like my sister and I. Jessie's is a darker blond and thicker all over, but mine is lighter and very fine. I wonder all the time what the baby is going to look like! Its exciting for sure...I have blue eyes and jessie's are on the green side (he has those weird chameleon eyes that aren't exactly hazel, but can shift depending on what he wears, green, blue or amber colored. So weird! Anyways, off I go and then I'll be crashing when I get home. Talk to you girls tomorrow!

hi girls,
KENDRA- thats is so so great that you are continuing with your education, especially when you are going through a hard time with your pregnancy. we are so lucky to live in countries like America and Australia where everything is so advance. i had 2 girlfriends who had their babies at 23 and 24wks and both babies survived and very healthy. if it was in my birth country they would've of survived at all. So dont be scared if baby comes early. you will be in safe hand, living in a great country like America. I had my son who is 18mths now on fathers day 2006. Boy, did his father get a shocking surprise! TINA- i love Australia! it a very beautiful country! you must visit one day. you got to see the country for yourself to appreciate it's beauty. i lived here nearly all my life, so i call it my home. The people here are very friendly, lay back and generous. we dont have high crime rates like murder. most people wont even come across a murder scene in their whole lifetime! we cant get guns over here easily. only for hunting or if you have connection with gangs and that, besides we dont have much gangs either. so its a safe country to raise a family. STEF- i love playtex bottles and i wish i can get them over here! you guys are so lucky in America, where you get anything! i was searching for them eBay usa but i am know abit confused because i did a little research and found out that they are not BPA FREE but the drop in liners are made out of safe plastic. my concern is can i heat the milk in the drop in liners? is it safe? my baby will be born in winter and i always heat up my milk for my kids when its winter. it cost alot as well for me to ship it to australia, which i dont mind at all. we used to have the Avents one over here with the liners but they dont make it anymore. so now we have no brand that makes them and im dying to get my hands on the playtex drop in nurser!! CHARLI- that is excellent news!!! i am so happy for you and jealous!!!! i have been wanting a girl so bad! i love the name as well! i can think of alot of nice names for girls but for boys i am blank. i havent been able to search for a name i like yet.

Good question, Tien! I don't know if the actual drop-ins BOTTLES are BPA free or if it is just the liners...do any of you know? I thought they were all BPA free? I have a list here and just checked it and it says "Playtex Drop-ins liners"...hmmmmm. I guess it only matters if the liners are bpa free?

TIEN -YES you can heat the bottle in the microwave for up to 30 seconds so long as you shake it at 15 second intervals - this way you don't get any hotspots on the liner that my burst and make a big mess and possibly burn your baby..... my girlfriend went to Austrailia a few years ago and she described it just as you did - she also said I would have to go myself to really appreciate it...maybe someday before I die LOL - STEF - so long as the liners are BPA free I believe that would be the main concern. I was kind of confused about all this BPA business and the reason is because I never used regular bottles I always used playtex bags (with the first) and liners with the second - I never had any issues with the playtex bottles.....I really loved them and after initial sterilization they went into the dishwasher for cleaning so easy and nothing melted!

I know, I never heard anything until my mom called me and told me about it a couple weeks ago. then I started reading about it everywhere! I have a list from safemama.com that someone posted on this forum and it lists several BPA free bottles. Medela is one and I have a Medela pump, but I'd rather use the drop-ins because they seem much easier since you don't have to wash them out and such.
