hey girls! Haven't had too much time to type on this forum this week! I've changed my work hours to coming in at 7:30 instead of 8 and taking only 1/2 hr lunches, so that I can take a half day by Fridays and drive to Kansas City. I have a lot of pprwork ot do...and answering phones, and mailings and such, so I'm kind of occupied. Disko and Eastcoast, I'm sorry for your losses this week. I'm sure you all have seen my posts asking about maternity leave and the FMLA and mecical insurance. Reason why I'm asking is because I AM getting pretty tired at work...even though all I do is sit on my bum and type and research and things like that.....but its a lot of mental work, and I realized I don't want ot spend my entire last trimester with my bIL and SIL! I'd rather my water break while I'm with my husband...so I can have that memory...instead of with my in laws! So I'm hoping I can figure somthing out and leave work by May and I'll be 32 weeks then....maybe they'll count that as my 6 wk maternity leave? ...if I can get my doc to write a note for me? Dunno... checking out my options though. I don't really care about the money...it wont be paid leave, but I have Aflac maternity leave pay...and my DH's company wants to hire me as their company secretary and let me work from home. But right now, my plan is I dont' plan on working at my current job after having the baby...and I want to leave work before the baby is due...but I need my medical. I might ask my boss if I can pay double on my insurance to cover myself through June. Basically, I want ot spend time with DH in this last trimester...and my in laws are already getting into my business way too much...like telling me I shouldnt be driving to see my husband and calling him to tell him not to allow me to drive!!!

Yea that has to be frustrating newlywed - I dont like people in my business ever ! and I am sure when your water breaks it would be best for you to be with your husband - thats a nice memory for you both to share :o) I hope it works out for you - I would try with the doc's note and try to like take the maternity leave like your going back - if a company knows your not they may be less likely to agree to it - epecially if they are paying you anything. I seen your post about it but I just know my old jobs policy on it - I think alot of companies have their own guidelines around that stuff. I also wouldnt want to disclose too much cause sometimes honesty isnt the best policy unfortunatly I had just called around cause chastidy wants to donate her hair like I told you guys once before and most of these salons will charge you full price to cut it even though your donating it - but I finally found one that doesnt ..its a dayspa real nice place she said they dont charge anything to cut the hair for locks of love - I have heard there is a better place to donate hair too but I cant find anyone who donates anywhere but locks of love so I guess thats where it will be ... her appt is for tomorrow at 430 woo hoo chop chop lol

hahaha dawn..... i freaking love love love rob and big.... rob always makes me laugh... he is just like a little kid! that was a pretty good april fools joke though, ya gotta admit that! lemme see some tears mom! so mean! hahaha well christie if you don't plan on keeping your job after the baby comes then find out if your company has cobra then you would be able to keep the benefits that you already have. if not there is always time to get state issued insurance and you will probably even be able to keep the same doctors. unless you are moving to kansas city then you will obviously need to change doctors anyway, right?

I know i felt SO bad when he did that to his mama I was like aww !!! she was so cute lol ! I love rob though he is hilarious ..so hyper - I do that c___p to my mom though so I shouldnt be judge haha I run around her house like a kid screaming and howling until she curses me out then I will play sad music til she cries then I stare at her LOL and she cries more hahahaha I am SO mean ! but i love her to pieces and she knows it she is just so easy to mess with ! You know she has to really check into the doctor thing cause alot of docs dont take state insurance they will toss her to a clinic with the quickness - Cobra may be a good way though depends on what it costs but it wont be anything compared to what the hopspitals bill would be lol U know I still havent gotten anything from Cobra from my job and my benefits ended feb 28th!

my boss and company owner are pretty nice and helpful... we dont have a "paid maternity leave program". I'm wondering if they'll just allow me to pay for my medical insurance ahead of time though...since they know I won't be coming back because of the move. Like, take double out of my paychecks to cover the time I won't be here...? I think I might wait until I get the docs note before I apporach them...still unsure of when to ask...hm. Cobra is available to me I believe...just unsure of how expensive it'll be..! I'm paying $75 every 2 weeks right now for awesome blue cross coverage. Yep---I'm a pretty independent type of gal...I don't mind advice, but when ppl get in my business...I get annoyed. Lol

really still nothing? sheesh that is weird. aren't they supposed to offer that option to you like always? regardless if you want it or not? i know when i left my job they offered it to me but at the time it was way to expensive so i had to take the state insurance which in california isn't all that bad. i basically got to keep all of my original doctors and my kids doctors all stayed the same. no clinics which is super nice. especially because i walked out of a clinic when i had crow cuz the people were just disgusting and it looked dirty. so when the state closed down that 'hospital' everything regarding state insurance in my county got way better. but yeah i don't know what she should do.... my best answer is to talk to her employer about cobra. i can totally see you doing that to your mom! i actually regress in years when i'm with my parents too....... i'm notorious for eating in the kitchen like all the time... 24/7 so i get teased alot about that! but now i kinda do it just to get a rise out of them and the teasing is fun... we have alot of fun in my family. aww i miss my mom and dad!

yeah i'm not really sure how much cobra is.... i wonder if they have a website you could take a look at.... i mean if your employer already knows that you are leaving cuz of the move then ask away!!! it can't hurt to start to get your ducks in a row right??? i'm sure they will be more than willing to help you figure out what to do.

LMAOOOO YOUR TOO MUCH HAHA I dont know how funny I am lol I think the most ridiculous things happen to me and the only left to do it laugh about them .. I cant believe you said that to her omg lol my daughter gets so embara__sed by me sometimes we will be like in the grocery store and people will push past me or stand SO close to me in line their cart hits me in the a__s ..that always p__ses me off but when I say something my daughter just gets so embara__sed I have tried to learn to let some things go haha So my daughters dad is installing my door today and he calls me just not to tell me he was stopping at wendys and he asked me if I want anything!!! how sweet .. I was like aw no thank you , but that was so nice of him - he surprises me sometimes. I was on a rant this morning about driving myself gabby - Mind you I am from NY and there are sidewalks EVERYWHERE so typically when i walk I walk in the sidewalk .. I mean it seems like common sense ...well I am on my way to drop chach off and here is this idiot woman standing at the CORNER in the street with a stroller drinking her ice tea .. I was like what in the hell ?! I happened to say to chas something about it and I referred to her as an idiot with a garbage bag on her head and that was all she had to hear she starts cracking up laughing .. cause the lady had a doo rag on her head that was black with sparkles so it looked like a shiney black trash bag ... I mean come on though standing in the street next to a perfectly good sidewalk which alot of people in PA do ...and to do it on a corner where I had to make that turn WITH a stroller!!! dumb I had to wing out just to make sure I came no where near her .. I was livid.. thinking about it gives me heartburn! o and I am sure once i get chastidys hair cut I will have a funny story for you LOL just gimme some time lol I hope that kid dont have the same life luck I do !

Well the trash bag thing made me laugh! Thanks! Yeah the retarted prostatots around my house that push their 27 kids around all day instead of go to school, are always dumb about the strollers. They will push the stroller into traffic and then look over the stroller to see if there's any cars coming. I'm like DUH!!!!!

omg a trash bag??? hilarious! yeah taylor says that i intimidate people cuz i'm kinda small and i think i look sweet but if you rub me the wrong way watch out cuz i will tell you off! it's funny cuz i never really thought of myself as mean or whatever but like everyone i know says that i'm unapproachable ... probably cuz i'm not a lovey dovey emotional kind of person. i'm kinda the opposite.... like deal with it kind of attt_tude... cuz you can't change so why dwell... i dunno. taylor is the same way though.
