Kay the nurses were telling me the same thing - get the epidural early ...then by the time my doctor gave the OK for it I was already 16 hrs into it lol and then when they did do it I still felt them on the left side ,,but thats my luck if you girls know anything about me thus far just from hearing about my life if anything can go wrong it does and any break I think I have coming never reallllly works out that way lol - The lady told me my contractions towards the end were coming severe and lasting 90 seconds and coming quick which was like my last pregnancy I did nothing for hours and hours and hours then after I got to like 5 or 6 cm it all just happened at once - but both times they gave me pitocin and increased it at the end cause they got tired of waiting .. I know that pitocin kicked my a__s the first time and this time too those contractions were INSANE even if they were just one on side lol. I am trying to do just the b___stfeeding and so far I have but what sucks is like tomorrow I have that graduation so I am going to pack a formula cause if she gets hungry there will be hell to pay lol she gets wicked when she is hungry lol I'm not too big on breasfeeding the moms who can do it like for a year ..i give them props I think I max out at 3 months ... it's very time consuming and painful and then I happen to be a very nervous person so sitting there for 40 mins drives me nuts ...I am doing it ..but dont know how long I can do it for ..guess we will see. So it looks like I am going to be enrolling chastidy in school in the poconos and staying with my parents mon-fri while she is in school so I can have a sitter for the baby while I work - I will have to find a job up there ..Im still gonna try for the work from home thing then I would just stay in the house all day and work and take care of the baby but if i cant I have my mom there to watch her - I dont want to but if august comes and i run out of unemployment and I cant get something from home ... what can i do I dont have anyone who can watch her and I cant afford to pay someone. The good thing is the school up there is SO much better then the one by me she would have had to go to otherwise. Her dad was going to put her in a private school but it is too expensive and he isnt making enough right now .. and I sure as hell am not making enough either. Fingers crossed though for a work from home job - the snow gets bad up there in winter and i dont want to drive to work in it ... I am trying not to stress about it now and just enjoy my time at home but its hard I am a major planner . Ok well I am off to bed - Is it bad of me to sleep with violet every night? I have her on a wedge thing and I am a light sleeper so I know I wouldnt roll on her lol I use the wedge anyway which would make it impossible to get close to her but other then that is it bad to sleep in bed with her?

hehehe, Kay our babies share b-days,
Chelsea was born the 5th too. at 5:46 pm. .she weighed 4 lbs. 9 oz. and was 17 in. long she didn't have to stay in the nicu cause she was doing good just had a little jaundice. when we left the hospital she weighed 4lbs. 7 oz. im surprised they let me take her home since she wasn't even at 5 lbs. yet. oh and after my surgery they had to go back in cause i was bleeding from the incision, the nurse freaked out and i of course was freaked and crying cause for that surgery my hubby couldn't go in there with me. i had to have another spinal.

Oh my goodness you had a rough time! You had her at 34 weeks I think somebody told me right? I didn't know they were born the same day! I think people got the news on the 6th and thought she was born that day. So what happened.....did your water break? Or did you just go into labor and they couldn't stop it? I had an amnio done and started having contractions from it that they couldnt stop. I tried sending you pics again, I think a number might have been left out from the last email address I copy and pasted.

christie.. the tea is totally fine to drink, it wont induce labor. you're right it is just a uterus toner, some people drink it all through their pregnancies to help their uterus get in shape.

here I found this... (I doubted myself after I posted lol so I looked it up) """here is no standard rule for drinking Red Raspberry Leaf tea, but general recommendations are to take 2-3 cups every day during the third trimester of pregnancy. If you decide to use it during the first trimester, understand that many experts recommend against its use completely or that you limit yourself to one cup per day. In addition to the tea, red raspberry leaf can be taken as tablets or tincture. Pay attention to your body, some women are more sensitive to the effects of red raspberry leaf and will want to reduce the amount they drink to 1 or 2 cups a day.
Red Raspberry Leaf Tea will not start labor, but it can be used during labor. Some midwives feel drinking it during labor makes the uterine muscles more effective and makes labor easier. It is also believed to help prevent postpartum bleeding and improve placental delivery. However, most experts seem to warn against using the tea while b___stfeeding due to its tendency to reduce milk supply. """

Oh something random my peditrician told me out of nowhere.....pacifiers protect against sids. Thought it was interesting because I'd never known that.

Well she just knew she was ready and wanted to come out! Gosh I bet she seemed so tiny! My daughter was almost 9 pounds so I thought he was this itty bitty thing being almost 7. He's 8 pounds 15 ounces now. He had his one month check up today just a couple days early. How much is she eating? Do you b___st or bottle feed? Aw I missed you! LOL you used to talk all the time with us so it seemed so wierd you having her and not being able to check on you.

I'm glad you're back Marisol. I was just wondering today if we'd hear from you! :) yay! our little researcher is back -heather!!! Kay- I heard that too about pacifiers and it's funny because today I was thinking "what was it that they say helps prevent sids" and for the life of me I could not remember! Now ... I know. :) I'm sitting here with a giant bowl of fresh pineapple hoping...hoping...it will do something for me. I feel kimd of ill again tonight - my tummy just feels off and I haven't been all that hungry today. hey, christie reminded me about eggplant and it helping with either bringing on labor or contractions. I hate the stuff so I won't touch it but hey - the rest of you might give it a try!

aw thanks its nice to now when you're missed. yeah she was so tiny. not sure how much she weighs now but im sure its at least 6.5 lbs. im b___stfeeding her and bottle feeding her b___st milk. she is so good. i had heard that about the pacifer so i use it. i also give it to her after feeding her at night per the doc in case milk were to come up so she doesnt choke on it. she actually likes her pacifier, keily didn't. she's getting a little fussy right now cause she's hungry and her diaper needs to be changed so i got to go. but i will be back hopefully i can check in on thursday. i miss talking to you guys everyday like when i was preggo. oh what are you doing for birth control? im not sure what i wanna do? probably gonna be pills, hubby suggested that though cause the patch is out of the question and so is latex... lol

yeah- welcome back, ma! Its good to hear your LO is doing well! We all decided we're going ot continue keeping in touch even after these little ones arrive, because who else will keep us company late at night? Plus, we've all bonded. Lol-Heather, thanks for the info!!! I just got done drinking two cups actually. I brewed some earlier and added some sugar...but now I'm afraid it will keep me up bc of the sugar!!!Dangiit! I'm going to try and hit the sack, but I'll let you all know how this stuff works as the weeks progress. Maybe it WILL give me an easier labor. I'm terrified of the pain in truth. I'm thinking I'll opt for the epi...:-) Anywho, goodnight, and swwet labor wishes to everyone, ESPECIALLY FEFER!!!!:-)
