morning everyone - yeah, I'm STILL here. My cramping/contractions went away late last night but I had horrid pelvic pain. I think he must have lowered himself a bit more. I think Kay asked what station he was at last week - it was -1, so he's almost full engaged. I woke up this am with more cramping/contraction like pain so I'm guessing things are on their way..just slow. I hope they hurry up and get moving though so my mom will still be around!

Hey girlies, have any of you heard form fefer?? My phone is dead and I can't find the stupid charger. If she doesn't post by this afternoon I could call the hospital. I don't want to call her at home incase she is still laboring there, although I can't imagine that being the case seeing how far she had already progressed. If you know anything please share. :o}

Morning!!! well violet cried herself to sleep last night then she slept for 5 hrs lol I just laid next to her and stared at her til she fell asleep ... I actually recorded her on my cell phone then played it back as she was crying lol she stopped for a second and looked at me like WTF! hahahahaha I had to entertain myself somehow- Kay i did that to violets finger already too i couldnt wait for the scab to fall off so I could stop feeling guilty - O her umbilical cord fell off last night too - she has a lil crust in her belly b___ton from it but I am not touching it lol. So it is seeming like its going to be really nice today it POURED and lightening an thundered last night now its cool down - I have a ton of laundry to do today and I may go get at that stroller ...I am hoping when I walk down the block my truck isnt under a tree from all that lightening last night. Fefer... did your mom get there yet?

wow your's and amanda's daughters cords fell off quick! His didn't fall off till he was 3 weeks old! It dried up super fast and for the last several days was literally hanging on by a little strand but I didn't mind because when it came off there was no bleeding, redness, or any of that stuff. I can't remember if you have a swing or not....I rolled up 2 recieving blankets and stuck one on each side of him and put him in it and he went right to sleep....after about 2 days that didnt work anymore lol now he'll sit there maybe 3O seconds if I'm lucky. Well mjv I guess that answered your question lol reminds me of my phone with disko. And YOU fefer what are YOU doing here? Miss I'm nine days overdue! Poor mama that's how many days overdue I was with Kalysa but I was induced so I cheated. I admire you for going so long.

You think its soon? She is 15 days old and they said about 2 weeks it would fall off - I left it hang there by a thread too haha chastidy was like 'pull it off!' I was like NOPE lol little crumbs of it kept falling off but last night the whole thing was laying next to me in bed lol i went to get up and put my hand down an was like whats that I had to stare at it for a moment lol then i was like AHH I seen this before haha did you throw yours out? I will beback have to go feed the stinkette

omg, I'm stil so tired! I just woke up and started on my 24 hr pee collecting Woo hoo! I'm really hoping I dont have preeclampsia. I'm scared that if I do the iducing wont work and they'll have to put me under for an emergency c section. I'm freaking out...which isn't good because I don't even know if I have it yet. Plus my parents won't be here until NEXt Friday, so I'm going to miss my mom not being here for when Dante is born. I'm surprised at the amount of ppl who have no clue what preeclampsia is. I told everyone about my appt when I went to get my nails done and when I went and got my hair done and both my neail tech and stylist who have children never heard of preeclampsia! My mom didn't know what it was either ...neither did my sister...and I had to explain. (sigh) I'm hoping that since my blood work came back normal that means my urine will too.

Fefer and Heather- I can't believe your contractions stopped! Fefer...maybe you are in the beginning stages of labor and it it wlll happen today. Aw Kay- poor lil Ace and his finger! Dawn- thats hilarious you recrded Violet crying!!!

Hey mamas I'm wondering if you guys can give me some advice... I have a sleeping problem. Obviously over the past week I haven't gotten very much sleep. As a result, even with her monitor on full blast right by my head, I either sleep through her crying or make excuses for myself when I'm half asleep... I'll tell myself that someone else is taking care of her and will come get me when she needs to be fed, and being half asleep I'll believe myself even if there's no one home. I'm just exhausted and I try to get to sleep during the day when she sleeps but I never seem to be able to. I'll take a 20 minute nap at most but I can't seem to force myself to stay asleep. When I get up to feed her in the middle of the night I sometimes fall asleep while b___st feeding, then I remember I'm holding her and jolt awake so she gets startled and won't go back to sleep for another 15 minutes or so. I feel like my own worst enemy! Any suggestions?

christie.. I hope you dont have it!! and I really hope your mom can get there in time. My mom didnt know what preeclampsia was either lol I had to explain it to her... I have noticed that moms from the older generations dont know a lot about pregnancy, I just sorta expected my mom to know everything or at least be able to answer my questions but I know WAY more than she does and she has 4 kids. I think its because we have the internet lol... I can research anything in seconds where as my mom would have had to call a doctor about everything. ANYWAY fefer, Im so bummed that you are still home.. if I were you I would go to L&D and just say you think you are having contractions lol see what they do.

one of my friends just called me to see if I want to meet her for lunch at noon. Shes about 1/2 an hr away. Should I stay or should I go?

Amanda, I have no advice really... Im not sure if thats any sort of "sign" of PPD or anything so I dunno what to tell ya hon. Im sorry *hug* I wish I could help. Im really worried about sleeping though cries too honestly. I have slept through earth quakes, fire alarms.. all sorts of things so Im a bit worried I'll sleep through her crying. I told my hubby that Im counting on him to wake me up if I dont get up on my own, but obviously thats going to be hard for him to do in Iraq. anyway... I hope someone else can help hon. =/

Christie... I say go... Im about to burst and Im going to drive 25ish minutes to my cousins house today to see her and her little baby :) dont go if you arent comfortable with it though. I just have no problem with speeding to the hospital if I have to lol. plus she lives right by my moms work so Im not to worried.

well I tried to see my dr today but she's not in - bummer, I have to wait till tomorrow. :( Christie, I'd go - I run all over the place and with our traffic it takes 30 minutes to get almost anywhere. Amanda, I'm really sorry you're not getting any sleep - it really sucks I know! I used to fall asleep in my chair while b___st feeding - but I had the boppy pillow with rachel on it. She'd just sleep away - and wake me up about 2 hours later hungry. Sometimes I didn't even know I fell asleep and thought she was still eating and I would think boy is she ever taking her time. :) Can you pump ( i know you hate it) and get someone to watch her for a little bit so you can get some rest??? Make sure you don't wear yourself down too much - what about your fiance? Can he watch her for a bit while you get some sleep???
