Well, happy Monday, girls. Monica, can't wait to hear your birth story. It's just so exciting! I had a new symptom show up over the weekend. I've started waking up in the middle of the night with my left hand achy and numb in the center, to the tip of my middle finger. When I get up and walk around, it goes away, but it's really uncomfortable. Then, during the day, my hand is sore, as if I've been writing a lot, which I haven't. Has anyone experienced this?? Other than that, I feel VERY pregnant - big, clumsy, tired, and awkward. Oh yes, and don't forget "excited." We got the car seats installed over the weekend, and I just can't wait to put my little man in them! -April

I'm with ya Robyn. I hope most of us make it over to infant care after this. I am almost not looking forward to the births just because I don't want to lose any of my sweet ladies on here! I have enjoyed all of you so much and don't know what I would have done without you. It is so wonderful to have other people knowing what you're going through. Anyway, Monica, I will be praying for those two babies of yours! Wow tomorrow is The Day. Woohoo! April and all of you prepared women, congratulations on getting the car seats in! I will probably cry when I get my car seat in. It just takes so little to make me cry. Man I felt awful all yesterday too. I HATE DIARRHEA!! I had it all stinkin' day. And on top of it, every time the diarrhea would start, a huge BH would come when I'd finish and stand up. So miserable. And then, on top of it all, my Patriots lost. What happened to their offensive line? I think they took a vacation from the game or something. Sigh. Feeling better so far this morning. You know what was weird yesterday though? I was looking forward to feeling better so I could continue cleaning the house. Isn't that crazy?! Lol.

Sarah, so sorry your diarreah continues to plague you. If anything, I have the opposite problem - always trying to get more fiber in there! I hope it gets better for you, but possibly you should rest instead of clean?? I should talk; I 'bout wore myself out yesterday doing chores around the house. As for car seats, we put one in my car and one in dh's. One was very easy and the other was ridiculously difficult. And, yes, I did almost cry while installing the hard one. - April

Yeah I should rest some more. But the dust is driving me insane! With all the wind lately it seems like every day the dust is back no matter what I do. Grr! I have been making sure to rest in between cleaning spurts. though. I have been fortunate in that my bowels have only been off a couple times this pregnancy. The first was with the stomach flu, then a couple weeks ago I had those 2 days of constipation, then this. Amazing what a 5 pound human being in your belly can do, huh? Lol. And you totally made me laugh about wanting to cry with the hard installation. Hehe. We have the metal clips in our car so we just have to figure out how to attach the car seat straight to those, which should be easier than messing with those stupid bases. I hate those things! They are so much better now than they were with my first niece, who is now 11 years old. Man that car seat was a pain in the patooty!

Yeah, we have the LATCH clips in both cars, which did make one really easy. The pain in the arse one was a problem because dh's seat bottoms angle backward and the carseat wasn't level, so we had to put a rolled up towel (yes, that's what the instructions say to do) under it to make it level. It was hard to get the towel adjusted right. The other seat had built-in adjusters to make it level. 'Guess I should've done more research on the other one. - April

Hmmm... I think our seats are pretty flat but that could be a potential problem. A rolled up towel just doesn't sound good, does it? Lol. I'll have to check our car seat and see if it has adjustments.

Morning everyone!! April - your hand issue sounds like a less severe version of what i have constantly...carpal tunnel syndrome.... It affects and causes pins and needles/numbness to the thumb, index, middle and half ring finger. The pinky isnt affected (strange that)...its due to swelling of the carpal tunnel in the wrist and can be exaserbated by typing repet_tive movement of the hand ..eg: typing. Try a sports wrist splint and see if that helps you...works for some! Or icing it... Mmm car seats...i still have to install mine but its all sitting here ready to go. We have had a week of thunderstorms so probably not the ideal week to do it...just like the fact im waiting to wash the rest of the baby linen but cant until the sun shines!!

Happy Birthday to Shelby & Shane! My prayers are with Monica and her family. Can't wait to see pictures of the babies. April, I have been suffering from the same sort of pain. Mine is mostly my wrists. Just another preggo ailment! Hopefully it goes away after the baby is born. I am thinking I need to pack my bag for the hospital. I have been so preoccupied with getting the nursery finished, I keep forgetting to do that! I have Ford's bag packed so I am going to try to pack mine today. I am getting so excited & nervous. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Blessings!

Yay! Today's the day for twins! I can't wait to hear the update from Robyn. Everyone is quiet this morning. I woke up last night with a huge menstrual-cramp type contraction. Whew that hurt. And lots of mucus this morning... perhaps Claire will decide to come early?

Ok, you think Monica has twins in her arms yet? How exciting to be having twins! Congrats Monica and holding it off til February! Much Love to her and her family! I had a dream last night, that i had to get a c-section and Hannah was a huge baby with dark brown hair. That was one heck of a random dream. April I hope you hand is feeling better, so does carpel tunnel disappear after delivery? Man I am overstocked in diapers, I accidentally ordered to much! I have some for my sis in law shower but I think I'm all good in wipes and diaps til this baby is one year! I love Amazondotcom!! It's hard finding the mega big box of diapers in stores except Babies R Us which is a 40 min drive from us. Erica

I think I'm alright Erica. My lower back was a bit achy but it's fine now. I've been losing mucus for weeks and weeks, and I only cramped up once. If it happens again I'll call my midwife but my gut feeling is it's fine. I just hope I don't have to go all the way to 40 weeks!! I feel totally normal now though. And I sure hope Monica has those twins now!!! It's possible (I don't know what time she was scheduled for). Too cool. What a weird dream. I haven't actually had a dream about giving birth to anything in a long time.

Chris: Thanks for the carpal tunnel info. I may try ice on it. It's not too bad, just annoying right now. Brandy: I still need to pack my bags, too. I've been putting the finishing touches on Jack's room, which probably isn't as important as getting ready for the hospital! Erica: The dreams are weird, aren't they? I had a dream the other night that I gave birth in a public park. At first Jack looked like a normal newborn, but then all of a sudden he turned into a 2-yr-old girl with dark hair and braces??! From what recesses of my brain does this c___p come? 'Can't wait to hear from Monica! - April

YAY MONICA!!! Today is the day. Happy Birthday Shane and Shelby!! Hope the natural method works well, and if a c section is necessary I wish you the bestest recovery ever!! YAY they are here today! Sarah: Keep an eye on those contractions. While it would be nice to have Claire a couple weeks early, it would sooooo not be good to have her this early. I havent packed a bag for Kayden, nor have I packed a bag for myself yet. Im not worried about it though. Hell stay put for a while yet. I think 4 weeks is enough time to pack a bag. haha. My shower is this sunday.. and after that Ill go out and purchase all the things I need. Itll be exhausting but relieving to get it finally done!!! YAY! ~Kristin~

Yeah I don't have stuff packed yet either. I'm counting on Claire being in there for quite a while still. My uterus is just making sure it knows what it needs to do I guess. I am also going to cut back on my red raspberry leaf supplement. My midwife warned me that I might need to as I get closer to D-day since it can stimulate some pretty potent BH. Baby girl needs to bake for about 3 1/2 more weeks and then she can come on out! I can't wait to hear about the twins! I watched Father of the Bride Part 2 today. I love that movie. And of course I cried when the babies were born. Sheesh I am turning into a big cry machine. I am also obsessed with births lately. It's just so exciting. Well I guess I better go load the dishwasher and get something defrosting to cook for dinner.
