March Lucky Charms Part 4

Yeah I don't have stuff packed yet either. I'm counting on Claire being in there for quite a while still. My uterus is just making sure it knows what it needs to do I guess. I am also going to cut back on my red raspberry leaf supplement. My midwife warned me that I might need to as I get closer to D-day since it can stimulate some pretty potent BH. Baby girl needs to bake for about 3 1/2 more weeks and then she can come on out! I can't wait to hear about the twins! I watched Father of the Bride Part 2 today. I love that movie. And of course I cried when the babies were born. Sheesh I am turning into a big cry machine. I am also obsessed with births lately. It's just so exciting. Well I guess I better go load the dishwasher and get something defrosting to cook for dinner.

Man and we thought it was hard to wait on gender ultrasound day! This is driving me insane! Are there babies yet?!!

Question - February 5

Sarah, I hear ya! Hopefully, we shall hear something from either Robyn or Monica tomorrow. Those bh get crazy sometimes, I get them more in the evening and nighttime. I hope it's a sign that labor will start in the evening, when my husband will be available! Erica

Holy c___p i havent updated you guys ok in my case my amniotic fluid increased from 8.1 to 9.1 from drinking all the fluids so in my case good news heres Monicas news; Hey Monica called me at 6pm. Shes had an AWFUL day things have just not gone as they were planned. They got to the first hospital (note first) at 7am the hospital staff was like why are you here? Shes said for an induction well how many weeks are you 36 with twins is there anything wrong with you or the babies that they are inducing you at 36?? No... well sorry basically we arent inducing you. They get her doctor on the phone with the chief of staff of the hospital. The COS says shes needs an amnio and the babies will have to be delivered c-section and her OB said NO i can get them delivered v____ally so she told them to not touch her she was leaving but it wasnt said that nice. So they got to the 2nd hospital that her doctor normally delivers at and she said they have been wonderful its a beautiful hospital and they were expecting her. Her OB told her that she could wait a week for the babies but the bigger they get the more chance that they could be stillborn because they are big and could squash each other. So she at 430pm they started pitocin she said the contractions are coming and they really hurt at 630pm her doc was coming to break her water so hopefully sometime tonite or in the morning the babies will be here. So shes been in an awful mood she didnt expect to be treated like this but shes hoping now that things will look up for her and her husband.

Evening, girls. It's been few days since I"ve checked posts. It's been busy. MONICA- WOW!!! Today's the day. Can't ewait to hear how it all went. SARAH- Be mindful of those symptoms you're having...diarrehea, mucos, BH, cramps...I also thought DD would "bake" longer and never dreamed she'd come as early as she did, but I was WRONG. I had the same symptoms you're having for several days before she was born. I wasn't ready (nursery complete, bags packed, etc) either. NEVER crossed our minds that it was early labor. She was born 1 day shy of 36 weeks. Thankfully she had no health probs and went home with us 2 days later. Just pay attention to all of it. My last shower is Friday at school and then I too will make a pilgrimage to Babies R Us to finish up all the purchases needed. My next OB appt is Thurs. She'll do another NST and check me for dilation for the first time. The BH are much more frequent and a bit more intense, but nothing that takes my breath away. I can definitely tell Reece has dropped. My hips and pubic bone just ache by days end.

sarah21 - February 5

Thanks for the input Melissa. I'll keep an eye on them. I've had low-intensity BH today and no more diarrhea but I'll make sure to mention all this to my midwife tomorrow at my appointment and see what she thinks. Baby better hold on, though-- my shower isn't until Feb 23rd and my second is scheduled for early March. Lol. Nevermind that I don't want to deliver in the hospital or have to wait for days to take her home. Anyway I am really disappointed for Monica. I know she didn't want to spend the day the way she has, poor girl. Hopefully things are progressing quickly so she can start loving on those kiddos! That is so crazy that they wouldn't induce her at the other hospital at 36 weeks when each baby is over 6 pounds! Totally ludicrous! Do they expect her to deliver two 7 or 8 pound babies? Geez. Poor thing.

OMG, I somehow missed Robyn's post just after mine. What abunch of c___p for Monica. Hopefullly now that she's at this hospital all else will fall into place. How exciting!

Question - February 5

Man, that's c___p Monica had to deal with those idiots, but it's super awesome she is now at the right place and staff whom are appreciative. Hope to hear a better experience tomorrow with two lovely 6lb twins. Have a good night. Erica

Aww I hope the rest of the labour and delivery goes sooo much better. I feel horribly that she was treated so badly by the first hospital. Im glad that she got into the nicer hospital with much nicer people to help her and get her through these next couple of hours. Ill await an update tomorrow. Sarah: I was thinkin the same thing.. the loose bowel movements, and the bh might indicate things to come. Hoping you keep Claire in there for a couple more weeks. I have an NST and a biophysical fetal profile tomorrow. Hopefully thats all fine and dandy. Ill be back in the afternoon to check on the updates. Ttyl ~Kristin~

ROBYN - February 6

Morning girls Monica woke me at 615 this morning the babies are here. They were born around 130 this morning Shane was born first and about 20 min later Shelby was born. Shane is 5lb11 ounces 18 1/2 in and Shelby is 5lb 12 and 18 in. Shane has dark hair and Shelby has curly hair. She also said that Shane was so laid back and Shelby was a screamer but as soon as her dad held her she stopped. They took Shelby to the NICU and Shane as well there sugar levels were low but they gave them formula and they went normal. I am trying to remember everything. She said the pain was incredible for the delivery they had her pain meds she wanted to try that first and then she needed an epidural she didnt think she was gonna get one the anesthesiologist and an emergency open heart surgery but they got him in and then she was happy she went completely numb but she said the pain was just too much to bare. Right now she hasnt slept for over 24 hours and the pain in her hoo-hah is awful shes bleeding sooooo much and they gave her st_tches but shes got a catheter in there and is hoping they can take it out so she can shower and pee on her own. So shes gonna send me pics sometime today but her and her husband are just so thrilled and she said its kinda hard to beleive that they are theirs she said when they gave the babies to her after they cleaned them up and wrapped them she was like OMG what do i do? But they are just thrilled to death she actually should be getting released tomorrow Shane will definitely be coming home unknown about Shelby i guess they might want her to stay but its unknown right now she still had some fluids in her lungs. So thats the update.

ROBYN - February 6

Hey Monica just called again Shelby might have a 2 or 3 day stay in the NICU something about her oxygen levels and they are using a feeding tube to feed her because shes hooked up to oxygen and she been whinney so they dont know why so they are just running tests on her but everything looks like it will be fine. Shane is doing wonderful.

Astra - February 6

Wow, congratualtions to Monica, welcome to Shane and Shelby. I can't believe the first babies are here. I am in full force third tri mode, uncomfy, emotional and getting freaked out about the baby coming. Tomorrow is my u/s. I can't wait! Sarh, I'm glad to hear you feel better. Let us know what your midwife says. Robyn, great news on the amniotic fluid, keep hydrating.

Question - February 6

Yea!!! Congrats Monica, Shane and Shelby! So exciting and so much love to your LO's! So Shane is super chill, that's wonderful ,maybe he can show Shelby his smooth techniques! Hope Shelby feels better soon. Erica

BriannasMummy - February 6

Yay for Monica. Im so glad that everyone is doing so wonderfully. Im amazed at the good size of them both. I know it was suspected but the estimation was amazingly close. I hope shelby decides that she wants to breath on her own, and that she gets to go home with her mom soon. CONGRATULATIONS Monica!!! As for me.. I went for my biophysical fetal profile and my NST this morning. He was doing wonderfully on the u/s. I got to see his face. Usually he has it squished up against the placenta. The c___p part is that he failed the NST. He had a HUGE decceleration of his heartbeat. It went way down twice. It went down to 75 bpm but it recovered in 15 seconds. They said that it was a "cord compression" and its really nothing to be alarmed about. Ive had at least 50 in my life, and Ive never ever ever seen a decceleration. She just wants me to make sure that im doing my kick counts and I cannot get anything below 10 in 4 hours. Im a bit concerned, but she told me not to worry............ yeah right! ~Kristin~

ROBYN - February 6

KRISTIN - is that the reason for the less movement you were getting? I would be worried too i mean if his heart is decelerating you wont know unless you are hooked to a monitor so besides the kick counts is that all they didnt mention anything about taking him earlier? When is the next NST?

ACG - February 6

Congrats to Monica and her family! Oh, I'm so excited for them, and now I'm getting all teary-eyed. Kristin, sorry to hear about your worry over your BFP. I know it's hard not to worry, even when the dr tells you not to. Seems like we have a lot of BFP's and NST's going on these days. I had my weekly one this morning. They didn't do his weight - have to wait til next week to see if he's caught up any from last time, but he did great on the biophysical and the NST. Dh's work had a little shower for him this morning, so I went for that and surprised him - got more cool stuff and lots o diapers! - April
