Hello ladies! Today is my last day of work and I'm soooooooooooo happy! Due date is next Friday, yeah! ChattyKathy: my baby has just dropped in the last week. I can drop in a matter of an hour when the time comes, so that's not an indication. wv_red: I read (probably on this site :-)) that babies will punch the cervix in order to make it softer for D day... thay may be what you feel. I feel it too, fun isnt' it??? Junebaby: how did your appointment go? My bum and thighs are really sore. I thought with the baby dropping I would have less stomach problems, but no, it's just as bad. And now, I also have to go pee every 2 minutes!!! I woke up last night being nauseous and thought that it could be time to go... false alert I guess. Still getting tons of BH, so hopefully, they indicate progress. Got an u/s tomorrow... Hope everyone is doing good!

So, I had my 26 week appointment today (couple of hours ago), and my doctor said I'm 1 cm dilated. YAY! I had some spotting afterwards, does anyone know if that's normal?

Congrats Rachel! I'm about to go to my 36 week appointment, but I don't think I'll get checked because she checked me last week and nothing. Baby welcomed me into the last month of pregnancy by giving me STRETCH MARKS this morning. I haven't had them all pregnancy, and I was hoping to get away with none, but this morning I looked in the mirror and I can see light little stretch marks under my belly b___ton! gahhh!!! I slathered on some Palmers Cocoa B___ter, but I know the damage has been done.I really don't mind THESE all that much, I just don't want each stretch mark to bring along ten of their friends! Anyway, off to the appt to find out about my GBS test!

Well my appt went Ok I am not dilated any more-not sure if i am effaced more she did not say. I know this is going to be tmi (sry) but as I was laying there waiting to be checked I started leaking something-I thought my water broke riught there but it wasnt Im still not sure what it is but I leaked the rest of the day my OB said my face was priceless when it happened tho! Yuck! So- I had the weirdest dream last night I have to share I went to the hospital b/c my water broke and they hooked me up to a machine that went up my hooha to make me dilate I got IV pain meds and could not feel contractions at all and was doing good I called my bf to come to the hospital b/c I was having the baby and he didnt beleive me!! He never showed up the b___d! Then in 2 hrs I went from 4cm to 8 (which i thought was pretty quick for my first baby) then my OB came in and said Im not ready to deliver the baby yet so were going to shrink you back down to 4. I was so mad!! Then there was a girl that had just gave birth in the same room as me and she cut my Iv bad of pain meds open and stole it-it was the weirdest thing-then I started feeling everything and screamed and woke up. When I woke up I had a sore throat! I thought that was strange. CG-I just dropped and am peeing every two minutes also-I cant beleive how fast I go thru toilet papaer since Ive been prego!

Hi ladies! Well, my baby boy is still breech and we have decided not to try the ecv...we are just going to wait it out and see if he turns on his own. And if not, his birthday will be May 15 at 11:30! I have concluded that the c-section will be okay...not my first choice, but it will have to do. Not to say that we aren't trying to get this little guy to turn. I am going to my MIL's this weekend to do handstands in her pool. Sounds funny, but I've read that is can do the trick. So wish me luck! He's already pretty big and I'll be hitting the 38 week mark on Sunday so he'd better turn already if he's going to! How is everyone else doing? Sounds like we won't have to wait long for the next birth story...how exciting! Chatty, sorry to hear about the stretch marks...not fun.

JUNE, funny dream! Did you doctor check to see if it was fluid? Sometimes the bag of water can get a tiny tear in it, leak a little bit, and repair itself. if the doc did check and said it wasnt, it might just be cm. who knows! RENEE, have fun in the pool this weekend. lol! A pool sounds really nice right now. I feel so heavy, the idea of floating around sounds awesome! --- And I, too, am back from the doctor today. Still not dialated. She said the opening was dialating a little bit, but the top of the cervix was still closed. I guess thats some progress, though. And it makes sense that i'd be discovering the stretch marks this week. I gained 4lbs this week AND am measuring 39.5 weeks instead of 36 weeks! luckily they aren't that bad, not even red, but they're definitely there.

Renee, I soooooo wish I had a pool I could get into! lol Good luck getting him to turn. I hear c-sections are no fun :( Chatty, sorry to hear about the stretch marks. I've gotten a few with this pregnancy but most of mine came from my first pregnancy. That's good to hear you're measuring 39.5 weeks... WOW! Maybe you'll have your baby early! I have my next appointment on May 8. I've been measuring a week ahead at all my appointments (by belly measurements) but who knows. I just hope he comes sooner than later. Talk to you ladies later. I'm in the cleaning mood again! lol

I talked to someone about my measurements and apparently its not a good thing! My friend said it means the baby hasn't dropped yet, which I know he hasn't. I'm just OUT and not really down yet, so thats a little frustrating. I looked up some exercises to do, but I don't know if I should do them. Some say if your baby drops before its ready it may drop in the wrong position, causing a long labor and possibly a c-section. But I'm just not patient! I guess thats something to bring up with my doctor. --- Today I want to an event at one of the local hospitals. A bunch of different groups came out to give away freebies and information for new moms and moms-to-be. It was pretty fun. I even got about 20 newborn diapers, which is good because I needed to go buy some! So at least we have enough to get through the first day. lol

How are you ladies today?? I am very moody- I cried as soon as I woke up today which is a lil strange. I just dont feel like talking to anyone I havent been answering the phone or anything. It is blah in MI today too. I will be 36 weeks tomorrow time is draggin by! Does anyone feel like they are on their period? I have cramps all day in my abdomen and back-like period cramps. Its kinda annoying. Rachel-I bet you're excited it's getting close and sounds like ur nesting!! when r u due? Chatty is this your first baby? I heard with second or third babies-you might not even drop until actual labor. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sorry you're feeling so bad, junebaby. I'm only in week 36; I'm due on the 27th. ChattyKathy, I also heard that if it's your 2nd or 3rd, and so on, that you might not drop until labor hits. I never dilated or dropped at all with my first pregnancy. They had to induce me a week late, cuz she just didn't want to come, lol. And, she was a 9 pounder. That's why I'm a little excited this time around because I'm already dilated 1 cm at 36 weeks, so maybe I'll have him early... or at least on time because it's so depressing when you're due date comes and goes and you're still pregnant. At least it was for me. Hope you get to feeling better, junebaby.

JUNE, back pain and period cramps sound like contractions. You should keep an eye on them and mention it at your next appointment. --- Yes, this is my first successful pregnancy. I went into this expecting to go past my due date, but I'm really hoping that he's a May baby and not born in June so I'm crossing my fingers that things will progress a little quicker. I'm TRYING to stay patient, but its just so hard! I've been avoiding it, but I'm going to pack my hospital back this week. I didn't want to have it ready and just end up waiting for baby, but I guess I'd rather be a little anxious than to be unprepared. Maybe it'll bring me good luck!

I am 36 wks today yay! i packed my hospital bag last week just to be safe. I told my OB last week I was feeling "menstrual" and she said thats normal towards the end-I know when I get regular contractions to go in-hope eevryone had a good weekend-I am feeling a lil better today but still INCREDIBLY cranky I feel bad I am being so mean!
