Good morning ladies! Kate_: I hope it means there is progress for you. Please keep us posted! Well, my due date is Friday. I'm only 25% effaced and 1cm dilated... all those contractions for almost nothing!!! The OB said she didn't think the baby was coming this week because of the position of my cervix (she said it's at the back, but I'm not sure what that means). Anyway, I'll think I'll start to walk and to do some squatting. Reneenay: I have a feeling that you'll be having your bundle of joy before me!!!!

Well, my due date is May 10th, but the doctor is saying that if I don't go into labor they won't induce it til the end of the month (on my brithday). This is my first baby, and I'm just a little anxious for it to happen. Though I'm not getting much support, my husband left for the military and I'm stuck at his moms, because we don't have a place to stay yet. All I can say, is she really isn't helping me out much. I'm on my own trying to find ways to my appointments and it's not very fun. The most support she's given me is to say, well I hope the baby comes this weekend or I hope she comes soon. My doctors appointments aren't all that inspiring either. They weigh me, measure me, and check the heartbeat. Not once have they done any kind of exam to say whether or not it looks like I'm dilating. All the NST and AFI tests are just starting to make me anxious, becuase they never tell me the results they just say it looks good. I really need some kind of pick-me-up right now, any suggestions?

Hi everyone. I'm due on May 16th. My dr said that my cervix is completely anterior as of yesterday, but I'm only 1/2 cent dialated and barely effaced. She said that the fully anterior cervix was a good sign though. I really hope that he comes soon. I'm exhausted. I cant get out of work until I either go into labor or ask my dr for a note. I'm thinking that I might get a note next week because working sucks right now. Anyone have any thought on my anterior cervix or have any experience with it being forward so early?

Baby Belle- I am kinda in the same situation-me and my b/f broke up when I was 5 months pregnant and I moved in with my mom. She doesnt help me with anything wheteher its just getting up off the couch or whatever and Ive had preterm labor 4 times now and she just drops me off at the hospital!! She complains alot b/c i have to see my ob once a week since ive had complications, its a pain in the b___t. I try to just remind myself that Im gonna have a baby soon and screw everyone else ya know? you're gonna be alot happier after u have the baby (i know i will) Thats kinda cool if you and your baby have the same bday though! This experience can only make you stronger and more independent. If you can do this practically alone you can do anything hun! I hope you feel better

RMC - May 7

CgGirl- the cervix thing is the same thing they told my sil on Friday when she went to the hospital. my brother said they couldn't induce her because her cervix was so far back. chatty - she ended up having a csection about 1am, she just wasn't making any progress and was ready to have baby out! wv_red- thank you! He does have a lot of hair, hopefully he doesn't lose it! Babybelle08 - that sucks. It must be hard to have to do everything on your own. Does your hubby get to come home for the birth? junebaby- aw, sorry you aren't getting much support either. I think maybe it will change once she gets to be grandma and see the baby for the first time. (:

RMC, aw poor thing but congratulations on being an aunt! I hope mommy and baby are doing well! BELLE, the cervical checks aren't really necessary and some women prefer not to get them so they don't risk infection, but if you want to see whats going on I'd just ask your doctor to do one. Especially since you're so close, it might be nice to get a good idea of whats going on down there!

RED, I'm sorry you're having such a bad day. Tell him you'll fix dinner as soon as the house smell doesn' t make you gag anymore! Can you get away for the weekend? Maybe taking a break and hanging out with some friends or something will help you relax.

Ughhhhhhh... I don't feel good today. Why the heck am I up at 4:00 in the morning?!?!?!?! I'm having achy back and leg pains. My birthday's in 2 days (the 10th)! We're actually having my daughter's birthday party on my birthday this year. She'll be 2 on May 16th. And, I'm due with this baby on May 27th... oh, I have my 37 week appointment today. I'll let ya know how that goes! :) Take care ladies, and have a great day!

BabyBelle08 - May 8

Thanks everyone, at least I don't feel so alone anymore. Hopefully, having this baby alone will make me stronger, cuz if I have to rely on his anymore, I might scream. I've already threatened my husband saying if I can't take his mom anymore I'd go home, and he keeps telling me just deal with it cuz there is no point leaving this close to my due date since the hospital here has all my information. It's just so frustrating though being this close to my due date and I feel like nothing is happening. I'm not even getting contracrions anymore, I was getting more over the weekend and since yesterday I don't think I've felt one. Well, I at least on an appointment next week, I'll have to ask them then if they will check out the baby a little more and tell me something worth hearing. I don't know though about my husband coming back, I could call Red Cross to get him sent back, but then it could screw up his whole schedule, and I don't know if he would like that.

Hello ladies, how is everyone! Red, I hope things get better. i don't know what to tell you other than i think men are just so dumb. my dh is a great guy but i feel like he has little interest in the baby and me he'd rather watch tv and relax. Well i've finally moved into my new home, and i live now in a construction zone which is okay by me becasue i have a my own home and don't live with the outlaws anymore. i'm 38 weeks or will be completed this weekend. and i swear my body just went silent. i had more bh and menstrual like contractions two weeks ago where i really thought this was it, and now nothing. i've moved heavy things, i've walked up and down the stairs 20 times per day and nothing. i don't even get bh's lol. and my stupid f29038409eijtlkejin ob still has checked to see if i'm dilated etc. i feel like punching him. other than that, ladies i wish all of us the best and lets bring on the popping .....i'm still surprised more of us havent gone into labor. i want to hear some labor stories.....

CgGirl - May 8

Hello ladies! wv_red: I am so sorry you feel this way. I completely understand; while for other reasons, my dh has been pushing my b___tons real hard too. I'm CONSTANTLY p__sed at him and sometimes it's really hard not to let it all out. He has done NOTHING for this baby yet (I spent all of my savings for the furniture, clothes, and every other baby-related stuff, while he makes double my salary!!!!) and he has been supposed to install this screen door for the baby room. We, just like you, have several cats, and we decided we were going to buy a retractable screen door (the screen rolls back on itself) so we wouldn't have to close the door to her bedroom all the time. He still hasn't done it (hello, my due date is tomorrow!!!) but he sure finds time to do other stuff, like GARDENING for example!!!!!!! I'm sooooooooooooooo p__sed off. Anyway, just to say that I understand where you are coming from. I'll try to log on to messenger this afternoon if you feel like talking... Sims: glad to hear from you! Hope you like your new place. My OB is the same way, she just checked my cervix for the first time at 39 1/2 weeks. ChattyKathy: how's the packing???

reneenay - May 8

Hi ladies! In just one week from today I'll be having my baby! ChattyKathy, I'm pretty much ready...just doing little things like washing pacifiers, checking out the b___st pump, etc. I am going to do my best to try and relax for the next week but I know it will be hard. I have a bunch of new mom friends that all say don't feel bad about laying around and relaxing before the baby comes because you won't get another chance to do that...at least until they leave for college! I am going to a day spa to have a pedicure the day before so hopefully that will help! Red, I'm sorry your DH is being that way. I think we all pretty much understand. My DH still thinks I'm perfectly capable of doing everything I usually do when I'm not 9 months pregnant. It's so annoying! I can't wait until the baby is at home with us to see how he reacts! Especially all the night time feeding/changing/crying. If he leaves me hanging he's in for it! But anyway, I can't believe I am almost 39 weeks now and that it will all be over soon. I am getting more emotional, anxious and excited! I've wanted a baby for quite sometime and very soon I will...it's a totally surreal feeling. I just can't wait to bring him home! RMC, I checked out the pics...what an adorable baby! All of your kids are adorable. And you! No one could ever tell that you have had 5 kids. Amazing!

wv_red - May 8

Well ladies dh and I somewhat made up, he is still alive thats enough right. What is it with men?? And they think we are out of control sometimes... geez. Renee a week wow at least your at home and relaxing, thats good. It is going to be defiantly interesting to see how dh reacts when our l/o gets here too. Cg you are just waiting huh. How are you feeling? When is your next appointment? Sims glad you got moved in!!! Time to relax a little for you!! Well guys I am just sitting here watching tv and cleaning in between the horrible hip pain. Is anyone elses hurting? Its not fun I limp and waddle. Well all have a good day!!!

ChattyKathy - May 8

CG, the screen door sounds like a really good idea. I would have never thought about that! Once we get settled in we'll be moving my cat in from my parents house (I haven't been allowed to have cats here. I miss her!) She's pretty lazy so I don't foresee any problems, but I'll be keeping a close eye on her and the baby for the first couple of weeks to see if we need to make any adjustments. I'm more worried about my house plants not getting chewed up! She'll even try to eat the fake ones! --- You know, I think its just the stress of the whole thing coming together. BF and I have had a GREAT relationship this entire pregnant but recently we've been b___ting heads a bit, too. I'm sure it wont get any easier with a fussy newborn, but I'm hoping that we'll adjust quickly. Today is my appointment also and I have a few errands to do as well. I'm not looking forward to it today. TMI but I JUST read on a pregnancy website about how near the end of pregnancy you all of a sudden have to go #2 with little warning and yep... Today it hit me. I feel like I have a stomach bug, but I know its just my body getting ready for delivery... lovely. SO doesn't make me want to strip down and go to the doc's!

RMC - May 8

wv_red - ohhhh man. I am so sorry. I completely understand that having the p___n thing pop up because that happened to me in my last pregnancy and I just cried and cried and was so p__sed off. Doesn't he understand you aren't supposed to be around the litter box because of toxoplasmosis? reneenay - lol, thank you! In the hospital, people kept asking if the older kids were my brothers lol . that made me feel great. Ooh, 1 week til baby, I bet you're excited. Chatty- have you got the bag figured out yet?

Mely12 - May 8

Men! ugh! My husband has been misbehaving a little bit too. I have to ask him like 50 times to do something! Then he gets mad at me because he says I nag him too much! I wouldn't nag him if he would do what I asked him to the first time! Grrr He spends most of his time playing video games! He is too old for that!!!! He like ignores me when he's playing his games, he zones out! He only reacts when I stand in front of the TV and block his view! Grrr I have gotten most things done thanks to my friends who come to help me!!! Well at least he does things if I annoy him enough... better than nothing I guess..
