Munch - Thanks for the heads up, I didnt know they are all pants off from now on. Congrats on being Strep B negative, its an infection you can have, if the baby gets It it can cause everything from a cold, to blindness, to death, be glad you don't have it.
Whens the non-stress test? Does everyone get one? Whats it for?

munch ~ I don't get the ultrasounds at every appt anymore. They stopped doing them weekly at 28 weeks. But I got two more from the two times I was admitted to the hospital, and then one last one to check on the baby's size and position. Believe it or not my husband wanted to do the 3d/4d and I'm like are you kidding?? I am not paying nearly $200 for another ultrasound after having 20 already and having to pay a $20 copay every time. I also just got my hospital bill from my first stay...there goes another $225. Thank god for insurance though because the stay cost nearly $15,000. I do have group b strep. It's actually fairly common. It just means when you're in labor they have to give you IV antibiotics.
So I officially go off my procardia on Friday (going to take my last pill Thursday at 8pm) so we'll see if I start contracting right away!! I've read some women end up giving birth within 24 hours of stopping the pills, and some women end up having to be induced because the contractions don't come back. I'm kinda hoping for the first one. My doctors are shocked I made it this far (as am I) but I am sooo ready to have this baby. Can't wait to hear our first birth story for October!!

Hi Ladies,
I thought I add in today. I have been reading daily emails on your pregnancies. I joined this site during my last pregnancy, and thought I enjoy it again. Unfortunately having a two year old running around the house has ended my computer time.
Well, I’m now 36 weeks pregnant, and have had two appointments a week for like the last two months. Each time hooked up to the NST machine……..Ahhh….ready to be done with this! My doctor is watching me very close to make sure the baby is doing well in there. My son was born with Cystic Fibrosis and had a bowel obstruction, and spent his first 40 days in the NICU. That was two years ago, and I had him at 34 weeks. They have been watching our new baby girls tummy through high level ultrasound. We went through torture last month waiting on something the ultrasound tech saw. Fast forward last Friday, and she didn’t see any issue. So, we have the green light that everything looks good…..and we keep going. I decided on not doing the amino or any other testing until after she is born. CROSSING FINGERS, AND PRAYING for a healthy little girl. Well, I must admit this pregnancy is much different then my last. Yes, It’s been added with extra stress since now that we know we have a family history of this genetic disease…Cystic Fibrosis. But, I’m filled with so much hope and anxious to have my family completed. This will be our last child. I’m having my tubes tied during my C Section. Now it’s just driving me crazy of when my doctor is going to do it. I’m guessing this Friday, or next week. Until then I will keep cleaning my house packing my suitcase, and keeping my kitchen spotless. I hate the idea of my mother in here again cleaning my floors….AHH
I just wanted to thank you for all the interesting reading along the way, and sorry I didn’t contribute more…..Anyone else have a toddler you have to care for along with baby. I’m scared my son is going to loose his mind sharing Mommy and Daddy.
Love,
Sarah

So I had a doctors appointment this morning, pants got to stay on. Said everything looks good. I think the baby dropped yesterday. I can breath again and am having more pelvic pain.

Samara- I have been having pelvic pain also. I have also been having some pretty bad hip and tail bone pain. The hip pain is the worse of them all though. It sucks really bad just trying to turn over in bed at night, ouch!
I had a Midwife appointment yesterday. She wasn't going to check me, but I asked her to seeing as how at my last two appointments I have been checked. The baby is now at a +1 station and I am almost completely thinned. I hope he comes soon because it has been really uncomfortable to walk these past few weeks and days. My due date is tomorrow and I am so ready for this now! I love being pregnant but I am ready for the next stage!

Oh, and my Mom swears that eating a hot fudge banana sundae put her into labor with me and with my brother. I am thinking it is worth trying and as of now I have plans with my husband to go do that tonight! We'll see!!

SARAHSARAHMOM2BE~~ nice to see you comment on what is going on with you. We like to read all the good news and updates on everyone. I am also 36 weeks, I am due on the 27th but she will be here by repeat c section on the 19th. I dont have a toddler, but I do have a busy 5 year old. Well good luck to you and well wishes on your little one.
Samara~~ how many weeks were you again? Why did your pants get to stay on???? I want mine to stay on also, that sucks. With the pressure/ pain, my doc said that it was normal to feel pressure from the baby pushing down. Sorry that is hurts so much, i totally feel you.
Dicegirl15~~ wow that sound like you are making progress right? You are going v____ally right no c section? I really dont know what +1 station is sorry, but it sounds good. I hope your little one comes tommorrow, the FIRST baby of OCTOBER!! How exciting that would be.
Nothing new to report for me, I dont go back to the doc until the 5th, so just trying to stay cool in the warm Texas weather. Good luck to all you ladies :-)

Samara- I can't really say what is normal and what isn't, but I feel your pain. I can say that this pelvic, v____al, hip, and tail bone pain is normal for me for now, so it sounds like the same is happening for you. I was told it is from the baby pushing down and being low.
Munchmom04- This is my first baby and the hope is to go v____ally, but one never knows what might happen. +1 station refers to the location in my pelvis where the baby's head is. I believe it starts at -3 station and then goes to +3. -3 means during a v____al exam they might be able to touch the baby's head but it kind of floats away. When you get to 0 station it means the baby's head is "locked" in the pelvis and most likely not going anywhere. +1 just means that he is even lower down now and at +3 you can see the baby's head lol! So I was told by my Midwife, so it must be true! YES! That would be so exciting if I were to have him tonight or tomorrow, or even some time in the next couple of days. My husband and I indeed went and had a banana split sundae tonight, so now we wait and see if it works for me like it did my mom!
Good luck to all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dice- Maybe we will have ours at the same time. I am one day past due now. I had no bh or even contractions yesterday until after the interal exam at the doctor's office. He was shocked to see me there! I am still one cm dilated but I am almost all effaced. He didn't say what my station was, but the baby is very low. Says I won't be pushing long and probably won't take long to dilate once contractions pick up.
But the pain from how low the baby is... I don't think Peanut will arrive until this weekend. I just hate waiting. Can't wait to read the birth stories!!

Hey ladies. Today is a bit of a bummer for me...10 year anniversary of my mom's death. It's definitely sad that she's not here for me and my first child, but my dad has been so supportive (even says he plans on taking a week off from work to help me out) so I am lucky.
I can definitely sympathize with the pelvic pain...so not fun. I notice it hurts some days more than others, usually when I am more active. Everyone says it's completely normal though, just another fun pregnancy symptom. Well today I officially am stopping my procardia. I saw my doc yesterday and I'm still 3cm dilated. So now it's just waiting to see if I start contracting right away. I feel like maybe I could have this baby this weekend! Or maybe he'll be stubborn and end up having to be induced in another month lol. It's a little scary being 3cm dilated and 95% effaced. I'm worried that once I start contracting he's going to come fast! Well I just hope I'm not one of those women who deliver in a car or some weird place.
Sarah ~ good luck to you! I hope everything goes well with your baby girl. That's always the worst when they think they see something wrong and your stomach just drops and then it turns out to be ok. They sure know how to scare us pregnant ladies!
Sorry for rambling. Just getting antsy! Good luck to everyone!

Well...here it is my due date and nothing! During the night I did have some weird pain I haven't had yet. It was cramps but a little worse than I am used to. I had to keep switching positions and couldn't sleep that well. Then this morning I had a horrible pain in my entire belly, but as soon as I moved a little it went away. I wonder what that was all about? As far as contractions go, I have NO IDEA what they feel like. I am starting to wonder what I am in for and it scares me a bit.
My Dad seems to think that I will have the baby this weekend or by the beginning of next week. I sure do hope he is right. I don't want to be one of those woman that goes two weeks over due! Plus my Mom is getting re-married next weekend, the 10th. I so don't want to be pregnant for her wedding and wondering if that will end up being the day he decides to come seeing as how it is 2 hours away from our hospital! Well, fingers crossed he'll come tomorrow or Saturday!

Hey ladies...just got back from the doctor and we've started to discuss induction. Not 100% sure how I feel about that, but I'm so miserable and the baby's head hasn't dropped at all so I know if I wait for him, there's a chance I'll have to be induced at 2 weeks overdue anyway (like my mom was with me lol) and I don't want that! I'm still dilated 2 cm and there's been some thinning. The plan is to go back on my due date (Tuesday) and then form a plan from there. I know induction increases the chances of having a C-section but I don't know that I would mind. I don't really have strong opinions on childbirth either way...whatever gets my baby here safe and sound works for me!
My dr did give me some sleeping pills which I'm very happy about. My biggest problem lately has been insomnia...no matter what I do or how little sleep I've had, I still cannot fall asleep before 7am which is just ridiculous! The other night I was up making pancakes at 3am just for something to do, lol. So hopefully I'll be able to get some rest now and who knows, maybe it will help the baby drop a little bit if I can relax a little more!
Getting so excited for all of us! Can't wait to hear about the first October lil' one :)

Hey ladies! Well I am officially in labor! My water broke around 5:30pm technically yesterday cause it's after midnight now. It wasn't a big gush though. It felt like I peed myself a little, so I put a pad on (happened while I was putting on make up to go take my dog to the groomers) but I wasn't sure it was my water because I expected a big gush. So hubby and I took the pup and walked around a couple stores waiting for her to be done. I had a little more leaking. Then we got home and I had kind of a gush, so called my doc and she said go in. Got to the hospital and yup it was my water. I'm not contracting much but am 3-4cm dilated. They said if I don't start dilating more by 3am they will start me on petocin. I'm not due til the 30th but they think he'll be a good size. I am so excited and nervous!! Not feeling any pain yet but I know that's coming with the petocin. Well I'll let you guys know what happens!!
