Pressure On Cervix

Hey everyone. I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and I have a question. For the past couple of days I've been getting this pain, I'm guessing on my cervix, and it's kind of a dull quick pushing...it's not constant, and they're not contractions. It's just kind of like a pushing. I'm just wondering if it could be my cervix starting to dilate, or if the baby is starting to drop....I'd really like some input from some other moms before I run to the doctor. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have been experiencing the same thing and I can let you know Thursday if I am actually dialated any. I used to think the baby was flashdancing on my cervix and it hurts....I think it's normal

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, that it's just the baby kicking around. I actually have an appt on Wednesday also so I'll find out then. I kinda hope she'd drop already because I have no room to breathe! I can't laugh or anything because I can't take deep breaths. It's a real pain! But hopefully it's just the baby kicking and nothing else.

I'll be 36 weeks so I pray I am starting to dialate some but overall if I haven't it's ok I am still feeling pretty good and not too uncomfortable - I'll post Wednesday and let you know..

Everyone has appointments on wednesday and thursday!! Wahoo for the millions of 3rd tri appts. LOL (I have an OB appt and my 37 week u/s on wednesday so I'm right there with you) I'm also right there with you on the flashdancing on the cervix. My chunky monkey is head down so I know she's not dancing but maybe taking karate or boxing lessons in there and she's confusing my cervix with the target... :(

LOL yeah my little girl is really starting to kick the heck out of me. I used to think it was so cute and adorable when she'd kick...but now it's really painful! Especially in the ribs. That's the worst. And sometimes she'll move in a certain position to where a body part of hers will bulge out of my stomach. So I'll have this weird looking bump sticking out of my tummy lol

yeah my little girl sticks her b___t out LOL I think its her b___t and then I have a lopsided belly - it's weird looking she moves like crazy even still and sometimes that can really hurt even if she kicks up by my ribs.....Krissy....it's funny how you meet people on here and then you notice how many of us are on the same doctor appt schedule - I dont' think I am having another u/s I have to ask my doctor and see.....

BTW I love your name Samantha ;) It is what I am naming my LO. Samantha Marie. Oh don't you love when they start moving and its painful and you think, its ok it will subside and they find the most uncomfortable position to remain in?? LOL... My LO likes to roll around from side to side and then 'land' on my bladder while stretching her knees as far OUT as possible. Looks like I have two miniature b___bies on my stomach. LOL

I'm having another ultra sound in about 2 weeks. This will be my 4th one! I've been having them often though because the doctor said she's a little small. I don't smoke or anything like that, but I am kind of short, so I guess that could be it. The doc said she's growing fine according to the ultrasounds, but that she's a little behind of where she should be. I was kind of worried at first but the doc has made me confident and keeps telling me she's just going to be a small pet_te baby and that's okay. So I don't know. Im really looking forward to this next u/s tho! She's going to be pretty close to the size she'll be when she's born so I can't wait to see what she lookslike!

cors1 your name is Tina right? Forgive me if I'm wrong. I hate calling people by their screen names when I know they're real names. LOL... so impersonal. Anyhoo... the only reason I am having another u/s so late is because my OB won't let me go natural v____al birth if my LO is measuring bigger than 9 lbs. (not quite sure why as I would prefer an episiotamy or whatever in place of a c-section any day) but she wants to have her measured one last time. Oh well, it gives me and hubby one more 'viewing' of her inside. I love looking at her ultrasound photos (especially the 3d ones) I will probably never put her down and just stare at her 24/7 when she's born. She'll get a complex. LOL

Samantha, you're lucky (on one side of the spectrum at least) that she's small because the birth will be a bit easier (at least compared to a larger baby) My LO has been measuring in the 75th-95% my entire pregnancy (2-4 weeks ahead each time) Do you ladies have names picked out?? Is this your first samantha?

LOL i'm naming mine lila aralen. yes they do manage to find the most painful and uncomfortable positions for us for them to stay in. Lila always manages to land on my bladder. I swear I can literally walk out of the restroom and go sit down and I feel her wiggling around and once she settles down, I'm back to the restroom. I think I spend about half of my day in there!

Yeah this is my first so I'm really nervous/excited! My baby is 2 weeks behind of what she should be but is growing fine....the doc says she's just a little behind schedule.

Krissy yes its' Tina - I have preggo brain I know we chatted on another thread in the past right? I remember you asking my name from that one....my last boy was 9lbs 4 oz and I had one st_tch - are you super little ??? is that why she is so concerned - they told me after my last one that if I had another baby she would be over 10 pounds and that thought scared me at first but now I'll be shocked if she's 8 pounds since I haven't gained so much weight.....she measures right on for her age so I am thinking between 7 and 8 pounds....b___bies on your knees -Samantha Marie is beautiful I like it....

I think the whole a little behind a little ahead is here-say. Pretty much the same as saying well that 5 year old is only 40 lbs and that 5 year old is 55. Ya know? A little skinny, a little chunky. Its genetics and other variables and just how life is. :) I like the name Lila, very feminine. Oh and the bathroom, omigosh I know. I feel like I spend ALL day in there and God forbid I have to do anything other than pee, lol. I may as well bring my lunch and a good book. hahah!

samantha_2629 - June 1

I can't even imagine how hard it must be for you to move around krissie! You're 37 weeks and your baby is 9 lbs! I'm 32 weeks and my baby is small and I think I'm having trouble moving around! Gosh I bet you're ready to have this baby huh?

krissy2006 - June 1

LOL, depends on how you define super little. If the question is, are you super little on the inside (like is my pelvis narrow or things like that) the answer is I don't know. I am told I am small to medium boned, BUT I am by no means little on the outside. I am actually pretty significantly overweight for my height of 5'4" so that could be why she doesnt want me to deliver v____ally if the baby is too big? Not sure. Yes we spoke on the July Mommies thread cuz I used to b___t in over there and we have talked on random threads throughout our pregnancies. Samantha, I am really nervous and excited too. More excited than nervous because well, I am in soooooo much discomfort right now that I will gladly embrace the pain that marks the end of it all so I can just hold my baby in my arms. :)
