I'm 33 weeks. Started feeling c__ppy yesterday, could not sleep AT ALL (OK 1 1/2 hrs tops) last night due to coughing, and when I woke up this morning felt bad. I went to my "normal" dr and he says I have asthmatic bronchitis; prescribed me antiobiotic and inhaler. Since this morning I have really started feeling bad w/ chills, constant runny nose and cough...in the past hour and a half my temp has gone up from 97 something to almost 100 and I just took tylenol. I have an OB appt Monday anyway but when do I need to worry before then? What would const_tute a call to the dr (other than contractions, water breaking, bleeding)? I've never been this sick this late in a pregnancy.

If you are that sick then your OB would probably want to know. He will want to keep a record of illnesses while you are pregnant even if there is nothing he can do for you. It is also a good idea to consult your OB about any medications you may be prescribed by your other doctor. Usually when it comes to medications and pregnancy the OB knows best. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi, as long as your baby is moving as much as it normally does, then your probably ok until you see your OB tomorrow, however a quick phonecall to your OB for advice/to put your mind as ease would not do any harm! its up to you - hope you feel better soon though!

thanks for your answers. I did end up calling my OB because I've gotten worse and now have a temp of 101, tylenol isn't bringing it down but keeping it from going up. I'm hoping it doesn't get too high tonight and am hoping the worst will be over after today because sometimes i'm barely able to move and i hate feeling helpless when it comes to my other kids! Anyway, i ended up calling my ob and the antibiotic and inhaler are ok and i did tell her i was concerned because she's definitely not moving around nearly as much as she was a couple days ago. The OB told me when i'm not feeling good the baby's sluggish too. she said to drink 2-4 cups of water and lay down and i should be feeling 10 moves in two hours. i'm glad i have an appt tomorrow morning

I am so glad you called your OB and that you will be seeing her tomorrow. Are you feeling any better at all?

Hey, I am feeling better today. My fever has gone down and I can at least get out of bed without feeling awful in an hour! I'm hoping the worst is over. Everything in my chest is really tight and all this coughing has made no progress. Hopefully this medicine will start to to help clear up the infection!
