This is my second child and I am 19 weeks and my belly is soft in the mornings until I eat and then it hardens and is huge. Anyone ever have this?

This is for Rebecca, I am also 19 weeks pregnant and YES my stomach too is more soft in the mornings, until I am up moving around and eat. I had always wondered why? My friend said that it is probably because of the fluids go into the side area and the back area. It concerns me because I am pregnant with twins and I should always be big. Not the case though. I think after 7-8 months we will be big all the time!!!!! LOL Good luck? Let me know if you heard anything different. I don't go back to my OB Dr until the 11th of Oct.

I am 5'10" and starting my seventh month. I don't look pregnant at all in clothing. I asked the doctor about it and he said that the bigger and taller you are when you get pregnant, the less pregnant you look. So I guess it's normal to just look a little fat instead of pregnant.

I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and just the last couple weeks people at work have been noticing that I'm pregnant. If I wear a baggy shirt you still can't really tell because my belly isn't very big. It was the same with my first pregnancy--I didn't look pregnant till about 7 months. I think it's because I'm 5' 7" and big-boned (I have a big ribcage) so there's lots of room for the baby and my organs in there--nothing has to stick out very far. I think this is a blessing because hopefully I won't get bad stretchmarks. I didn't get any my first pregnancy and I'm hoping for good luck this time too. :)

Hey, I am now 7 mo. pregnant about 32 weeks now, and im still a little small, the doctor says im measuring okay, as of last friday ive gained 33 pounds this whole pregnancy. My question is, if anyone can answer it, if because im small is my baby going to be small? I posted a message when i was 5 mo. and like i said before i was really skinny, i weighed 101 and am 5'2.

I am 35 weeks and I'm fairly average but I'm startting to notice stretch marks on my waist and even on my stomach I know my stomach will go down after I have the baby but how can I turn things back into the form the use to be?

I think that every woman is different. I know that I am at 7 months and I have a huge stomach. People think I am going to pop next month. I think that the docter got my due date wrong. All I can say is, be glad that you are small. You are one of the lucky ones. Besides, if your docter thinks that everything looks ok and you trust his/her judgement, I don't think that you have anything to worry about. Just make sure that you are eating enough and are eating healthy.

iam 39 weeks pregnant and my first baby was big, yet midwife says i'am very small i was bigger with first, is this normal? all scans were fine. But now shw wants to recheck my size next week, it's really worrying me, as i have been told your second child is usually bigger than first, and this one is the same s_x. Any advice?

Every body is different so don't stress about the size of your belly. Mine was pretty small too but now t 40 weeks I am HUGE. Besides it is kinda handy to be small. Trust me towards the end you wish you were small again. Be hapy with what a tight litttle package you have!!!!

I'm glad so many people were answering this. I was starting to feel like such a freak because I only have like a couple tiny little stretch marks at 27 weeks and I still am not showing much unless I wear quite tight clothes. I'm carrying low. Not that I wanted stretch marks, but, you get sick of people acting all surprised that you are pregnant, like they were thinking that this is just how you look all the time. At my new job I actually said I was 20 weeks so I would be able to wear baggy clothes without people making comments on how small I am. I also wanted to say, one guy here said that it could be worse people could be telling you how huge you are, and trust me, that's not worse. Women who have strangers say they are huge, at least can say that they are supposed to be huge 'cause they're pregnant. If you are small there's no good comeback. Plus people expect you to be able to carry things and bend over just like a non-pregnant person because you aren't that big. So being "huge" has major social advantages. Plus, if they can't tell you have that bump under your clothes, and you have to tell them, then that means they just thought you were fat.
