That must be an old wives tale. I am 26 weeks 4 days pregnant with our second child and I can tell you with absolute positivity that turning over in bed is definitely alright. There is no way you can harm the baby by rolling over, unless it was on a bed of nails. I don't know where your mom heard that, but it is not true. It sounds like your mom cares for you very much and is probably a bit paranoid. I can't imagine having to get out of bed to roll over, just sitting up is a chore. Is this your first child?

yes mjv.. This is my first child.. and i have all sorts of worries and confusions... Do u feel the baby's movements consistently.. I feel my baby's kicks and movements very strong for 2 days and for another 2 days very light kicks.. Is it normal.. I thought that this may bcos of rolling in bed..

BABY-I just delivered twins in Feb. There was absolutely no way I could remain on one side. I think its a myth. My twins turned out fine. I could not sleep on my left side the entire time. My hip began to hurt. By the 8th month, I couldnt sleep anyways. I think I slept 1 to 2 hrs per night... Your are at an exciting point in pregnancy. You are almost at the finish line. You may get miserable in the last 2 months but know that its all worth it in the end. You are nearing the finishing mark. Congrats! Keep talking to your babies and telling them you love them. Read stories to them.

As long as you are feeling movement, strong or otherwise then everything is fine. I promise you that changing position in bed will not harm you, or the baby. If you have any other questions, I would be happy to answer them for you.

hi, i don't think there is anything wrong with it! i am 25 wks 3 days and i can't physically roll anymore because my hips hurt so badly and my back, so i usually sit up and roll over because it just hurts too bad, not because you're not supposed to. i think i have that sciatic nerve and the pubic symphisis disorder. ugh. but this is my 3rd baby in a little over 3 years soooo, i guess that is another reason i hurt so badly, lol.
