Anyone struggling with varicose veins? The veins in my leg continually get worse, and today I noticed the veins in another area (a very "private" place) are horrible. I think I may call the dr tomorrow as everything just looks distorted down there. My veins are bulging and there is one in particular that appears almost growth-like. Anyone else had experience with this and what did your dr say? I've got two little one to chase around so I am on my feet quite a bit. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and looking forward to delivering this child. Will the veins in that area affect birth? Will they return to normal after the baby is born. I'm afraid of what the dr will say we must do to correct them...

I had these with my dd and i currently have them now with my ds. I'm 37 weeks and i started noticing them early in the second trimester. I'm not sure there is a whole lot that can be done for them right now. There are special stocking you can try wearing to help out, also it helps to put your feet up when you can (i'm sure not easy with 2 kids to take care of) my doctor also recomended heat too.
I don't know if the ones in the private area will affect the birth but I will tell you this, when my dd was born they went away within a week, all of them. So try not to stress too much, I imagine as soon as you deliver your's will go away too. GL

I have gotten them too, but on my belly. No where else. I have 2 tiny stretch marks and 2 spots of varicose veins, it is weird.
