OMG my little girl 18 months fell today and hit her head on the door. It was not the door frame or anything just the door. She looks like she has a rug bun but it is bursed too. I called the Dr and she said just to watch her. She seems to be ok but it scared the c__p out of me. I did not see it but my dad was with her. Do you think she could have a concusion from it? Someone please give insight on it ASAP! Freaking out. I happend this morning at about 11:00 a.m. and it is now 3:30. She just went down for her nap.

i am sure she is just fine if she is acting normal my son is 2 now and he has whacked his head and cut it open and had a big lump as long as she is acting normal there is nothing to worry about i am sure there will be plenty more bumps where that came from at least with my boy there is tons!

My son is 12 months and did the exact same thing the other day. The doctor told me just to look in his ears and nose and make sure there is no blood, not let him sleep until about 3 hours after it happened, and just watch him closely. I am sure your dd will be fine as long as she is acting fine. My son didnt seem to be bothered by it except for thr big bruise on his head,

I hate to admit it but after having 4 children (one is 5 weeks old and the oldest is 5) the fight and pumps on the head are part of them learning to walk, playing, fighting, etc. What I do is take a flashlight and lay my child on the bed and look at her pupils I than shine some of the flashlight in there eyes and the pupil should react and dilate. If the pupil does not react to the change of light that is a sign of a concussion, also them being overly fussy or overly sleepy.

Ok, this happend to me yesterday. Ethan (17 months) hit his forehead, and I mean really, really hit it hard. We were going outside and he got so exciting that he ran out the door and trip over the mat. He fell so fast that he didnt have enough time to put his hands forward to protect his face. He got a HUGE knot that appeard shortly after the fall. I was freaking out too. I watched him closely to make sure he didnt have any marked changes in his behaivor. He went on playing like his usual self. I feel really bad about it. He still has the huge knot on his head. I tried putting ice on it put, that didnt go so well with him.
