Well, the tile is basically the question. Yesterday Justin vomited three times throughout the day, so I was just giving him water all day and then some juice in the evening. Today so far he's had water and juice and some real food) with no vomiting, but I want to get him off the juice and start giving him milk ASAP because he gets bad diarrhea from juice. I should know this by now since Justin's my 3rd, but I can't remember anything these days...lol... when can I try him on milk again?

Hey Tam...my rule of thumb is after vomiting, I wait 15 minutes and then try giving sprite or 7up. Just 2 or 3 sips. Wait 5-10 minutes. A few more sips...wait...after about an hour or two with increasing more soda then I give a cracker...but no soad. Then I contiune alternating until the next bout of vomiting and start over. Once they keep it all daown for a couple hours or more, you can give bannanas, rice and dry toast or crackers. I wait a full 24 hours after throwing up to give milk products. I hope he feels better soon. Make sure you are giving fluids with sugar/electrolites to keep him hydrated. My oldest ended up in the hospital with not dehydration but an electrolyte inbalance because he would only drink water...ntohin else. He drank alot of water...but only water and he got really ill. This was the diet the hospital prescibed for me in the future and has worked really well. If you have any q's...just ask! Good Luck! I will be thinking of you!

My 2nd son is a real puker, to put it nicely, what I do is always have childrens gravol on hand it works wonder! If you dont have it or dont want to give it to him try giving the water (which is best to keep him hydrated) but if you want to keep the calcium up try giving him yougart.
