hello and congratulations. i have twin boys age 5 and when i was 20 weeks pregnant my cervix was also short. i was required to go on moderate bed rest and it did help. my cervix actually got longer. but at 30 week my cervix was fully thinned out and 3cm dilated i was in the hospital for two weeks and hooked up to meds to slow down contractions. i continued bed rest at home and at 36 weeks my water broke it was a tough road but worth it. they were 5lbs each and one came home the other stayed for a week. i got pregnant again when the twins were 2 with one baby and i had no problems at all, great pregnancy. i am now waiting to see if i am pregnant again, the doctors think twins again. i did fertility with all. best of luck to you. there is so much they can to today, i'm sure you'll be fine. take care.
