The levels should double every 2-3 days. the only real indicator will be the u/s. Keep us posted.

Congrats. No U/S before 13 weeks - that stinks!!! Anyway, usually they double every 48 hours or so, but I know not everything is by the book. For example - w/my trio my HCG in the beginning was more than triple every other day, then trickled down. YOur initial HCG seems very high for a singleton though. If you are anxious, I would ask to see if they can do an U/S sooner. GOOD LUCK

well they are suppose to double in 48 hours. But I read/studied that extremely hight levels of hcg could be twins or more, or a molar pregnancy. Usually with molar pregnancies you grow really big really fast.

High HCG levels could mean many thing besides twins and they aren't very good things. It could mean molar, tubal, cysts or even cancer. Or, it could mean just a healthy baby that just has high HCG levels.

I have asked for an ultrasound so hopefully my dr will give it to me before the 13 week nt scan!! I think that it would settle me a bit - I had a bit of spotting that's why we were moitoring the numbers and now they seem high.

Try not to worry about the spotting. I know, easier said than done! Normally it means nothing, could be implantaion spotting, which is normal. It's tough to have to wait so long for an u/s. I hope you get your appointment sooner to help ease your concerns. Let us know!
