Day 30 Serum Preg Negative

Hi ladies, I went in for a serum pregnancy test on day 28. Negative. I had a progesterone check on the 11th which indicated I had ovulated. I never got a positive on the OPK at home. The nurse said that I ovulated between the 7th and 11th, therefore the serum test could have been inaccurate. Has anyone else had this happen? I am so torn up right now but still hopeful that I was just too early taking the test.
Does anyone know how long it takes from ovulation to implantation? and then how long does it take for HCG to show up after implantation? Thanks for your help!

My twins are the result of IUI. I showed positive on a home test at day 6 after insemination. It was very faint. However, I'm no medical professional, the female body & the reproductive system is such a mystery. I can only share my experience. Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
