I have a fetal doppler at home. I hear the heartbeat and it's very strong, then hear a nother beat that is almost just as fast and a little quieter. Could that be another baby? I thought it may be an echo.I am 16 wks and have my 1st ultra sound in 1 week. I'm just curious and anxious.

I just found the same thing and I am only 14 weeks. The heartbeats are about 4-5 inches apart.

what kind of doppler systems do you have? I can't hear diddly squat on the one I have except for what sounds like if you're in a calm pool and pushing water around.... it was pa__sed on by a friend who rarely used it.. I dunno... but anyways, that's cool u can hear it :o)

I rented mine from www.sweetbeats.net. It's $28 bucks a month and supposed to be just like the one at the Dr's office.

I ordered one from babybeat.com, it was only $24 a month. I just got the basic one. The heartbeat wasn't that hard to find once I used it a couple times. And it is very strong and loud.

Cara - I'll be interested to know if they find 2. I showed twins at 7 week u/s and I'm 20 weeks now. However, I have a baby beat doppler as well and in the last month found a 3rd h/b!!!!! The boys are on each side of my belly b___ton but the 3rd (which is not mine - 150's) is about 3 in. below my belly b___ton and has been there every night since I found it and very strong. I can't even fathom triplets (natural at that!) but can't seem to find much info about echos and how it works! I have my next appt. next week and can't wait!!!! Post up if you get a chance about whether you have twins or not since you heard a 2nd h/b! :)
