Early Twin Pregnancy Weight Gain

At about 6 weeks pregnant, an ultrasound revealed I was carrying two gestational sacs. That was two weeks ago, and my doctor is expecting me to loose one b/c of no growth. However, I have gained 10 lbs. since roughly the time I found out I was pregnant. I am a physically active woman, and prior to this pregnancy was in great shape. I have only been eating junk food (i.e.) ice cream during the weekends, which was normal for me pre-pregnancy, and I am still exercising 4 times per week. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this my body's reaction to thinking I am pregnant with twins? Should I be concerned?

I started out my pregnancy at 5'3 108 lbs. I am 16 weeks and 125! I was active but my doctor told me that because I am having twins that I am not allowed to exercise as there is an increase in blood to begin with and getting your core temperature about 100 degrees can cause defects in the embryo/fetus. I am taking this pregnancy as a luxury and I eat ice cream, peanut b___ter and chocolate every chance I get. It could be wives tale, but I heard that if you have a nice little layer of fat between your muscle and skin, it will also help reduce the chances of stretch marks. Just try to force some fruits and veggies into your diet and maybe you should slow down the exercising a bit.
