I want to share this so I thought I would post it here. I found out I was having twins a few weeks ago. I'm happy but nervous! Fortunately my Dr. told me about this company called Baby's Heart and told me to go to there web site (www.babysheart.com) and rent a doppler - he would give me a persrciption for it. Apparantly they are local to my area because I later noticed they had brochures in my Dr's office. Anyway, I rented one and I can now check each of the heartbeats from my twins. I even got to speak to the owner - woman owned and they rent the dopplers all over. She has a good pregnancy story!

I am 17 weeks, I went for my prenatal check last week and my doctor said my uterus is measuring quite big. When the doctor was using the doppler, she found two heartbeats! The ultrasound is not until April 4/05. The doctor said it's 50/50 that I could be carrying twins. Now my question is, can you hear a baby's heartbeat on both sides of the stomach???? I have heard that it may be an echo?
