I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the HCG trigger shot. I thought for sure that my doc was going to give me that or mention it or something this time and he didnt. I dont want to go another month without O ing. I dont want to go into another month of clomid either without knowing that I tried everything this time... I am not sure how to approach this with my doc. The other thing is this: is it administered at home by me or my DH or do I have to have it done at the docs office? A lot of questions I know .. but I would appreciate any thoughts on this ASAP.

My shot was administered at home, but I have heard of some doctor's doing it in their office. I would call and ask your doctor if he/she thinks it's appropriate. Good luck!

H Shey. I had an IUI (Inuterine Insemination) due to male factor issues.
On cd 12 we did the trigger shot (Ovidrel) and I went in morning of cd14 to have IUI done. The trigger does two things: It makes the follicles mature properly, and forces them to release the egg into your tubes for fertilization.
