Is The AFP Screening Test Accurate

Hello. At 18 weeks pregnant I had blood drawn for the AFP screening test. My test result came back "positive" for Down Syndrome. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and very worried about my twins. Has anyone had this AFP test come back positive and later found out that your babies were healthy? Did anyone do further testing like the "Amniocentesis"? Please respond back asap. Thank you!!!

My OB told me not to even take the AFP test because it is not reliable for twins. He said it almost always comes back positive. I wouldn't worry too much.
