hi i m in my 13w+ pregnant with twins now. But since last two weeks i have an on and off like needle pierce pain on my lower abdomen (sometime right and left sides). I have ask my gynae and he said might be the uterus is strectching for the babies. Anyone else have such experience? Also, could anyone advise me on the right sleeping posture for twin pregnancy? Appreciate any advice.

Sleeping on your left side with a pillow inbetween your knees(and however many pillows you need elsewhere) is supposed to be the best sleep position. The shooting pains on both sides are supposedly normal too as long as the pain doesn't radiate to your lower back and as long as you aren't spotting.

I get that everyday. My doc said it would be the babies pressing on a nerve or something. But it hurts! No advice though. I have found that if I push on the area it tends to go away. Good luck.

i have the same pains and although it is scarey, the doctor tells me that with twins the rate of growth causes the uterus to expand sooner and the pain I feel is due to the ligaments streching to accomodate the growth.
