Did anyone have their first ultrasound and they couldn't tell if there was one or two placentas? I had an ultrasound at 16 weeks and they said they could only see one placenta but sometimes two are hard to see. Has anyone had this happen and found two placentas later in pregnancy?

Yes, they could not see it untill i was 20 weeks coz of how small it was be4 that , good luck i hope they found a 2nd one

I just had another ultrasound today at 21 weeks and they did find a second placenta. That is a good thing. I knew they were not identical because twins are hereditary in my family.

im now 12weeks preg with twins and they seen two at my first ultra sound when i was 9 weeks

i have been told that both of my twins have they own placentas i was told that its was better that they have they own instad of only having one beween them
