Please help: I would like to give my sons traditional, strong names. I don't want them to rhyme but I'd like them to have a nice flow. I'd like to stay away from trendy names like "Taylor" and "Hunter". Some names I'm considering are: "Grant" and "William". I'm also considering "Presley" and I've always liked "Preston". Would those two names be too similar??? Thanks for helping!!

What about combining your faves---
Grant and Preston. Both are strong names and are unlikely to be shortened to a less strong nickname you will not like. Also... it is nice to have different initials... same s_x twins
who (obviously) share a birthdate
and initials often go thru constant mix-ups with medical records, school records and the like. Good luck with your boys. My twins, Samuel and Hannah are the best gift I've ever gotten!

I like the names Presley and Preston I think that they aren't commonly used but are known and easy to say. As for them being to similar I don't think so because their just as unique as your boys will be but still show a bridge between the two.

i'm 22 weeks with twin boys and we at first wanted to use the same first initial. but after talking to other twin boys, the ones that had the same first initial or rhyming names absolutely hated it and suggested we use different names so that they would have some kind of different ident_ty than their brother. that's just what we are thinking. congrats!

I ended up having girls, but I was never decided on a second boys name, should my twins have been boys, because I didn't feel like you could name one twin after their dad, and not the other one... And I liked my husband's name, Eric. I thought about Eric and Carl, because of the scandanavian decent. I agree that trendy names can become tiresome. Girls or boys. I am a kindergarten teacher and have been teaching for 18 years. I've seen some bizarre names. Too many boys are named after wild west outlaws/ towns/states (think dakota, wyatt) and Texas cities ( Austin, Dallas, Tyler). I named my girls (now 12 years old) Madeline and Claire. The pediatrician on call stopped by my room to "thank" me for not naming them rhyming names or names that begin with the same letter. I thought that was odd of him, but I guess he sees a lot of that. I am getting twin girls in my kindergarten cla__s named Spring and Summer. Ironcially, their birthday is October 17th. Go figure.

I named my twin sons Micah and Caden. They were born last december just before christmas. Other names my husband and I enjoyed were Noah, Joel, Conner, and Michael. A dear friend of mine that I met at a meeting at our church has four year old twin boys she named Jason and Ethan. What do you think?

I think Presley and Preston are too close, if you dont want similar names. I really like Grant and Preston out of your choices. Good luck! :)

I LIKE JONATHAN AND JOSHUA, SINCE THEY ARE BIBLICAL YOU CAN'T GET MUCH MORE TRADITIONAL, BUT I'M SURE YOU'LL FIND THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOUR NEW ADDITIONS.
