Okay twin moms. Give it to me straight. What did you measure when. I went for my 3rd OB appointment today and my ob was a bit taken off gaurd becaus I was measuring at 22 weeks and Im 20 weeks and was about normal last visit four weeks ago. She said she wasn't going to do an U/S because I have one scheduled for a week from tomorrow. She said I was feeling movement early and twins run in the family so who knows. She wouldn't indulge more. I never thought for one second it could be twins. I didn't think I felt movements enough for it to be twins. ANY thoughts? twin moms tell me when and how you found out if you DIDN'T get an early U/S. I'll keep you updated how the U/S does go but the wait is going to kill me.

Opps im sorry I meant to say I am measuring at 22 weeks and I am 18 weeks 2 days. So I am about 4 weeks ahead.

well I don't know why this paticular forum is so quiet lately. It use to be so busy. Well I guess no one has any insight for me. I have an ob appointment today, this time with a different gal in the practice. Maybe she can take a peak.

I started measuring bigger at around 20-22 weeks with my twins, but I knew we were expecting twins from 8 weeks. That's around the time I actually started to put on weight too. I would consult with the OB you will be seeing and ask if she can do a quick u/s to see or if she can look around for 2 hb's. I just read a post on another board that was telling us that 1 yr. ago she went to the OB because she had fallen down the stairs. When they did an u/s to check on the baby they got the surprise that there were 2. She was 30 weeks!! Keep us posted.

I know exactly what your going through I just went for my 4th appt yesterday and I am 23 weeks and measured at 27 weeks my doctor is suspicious it may be two babies!! I still have to wait until March 8th when I get my ultrasound!!!
Twins (fraternal run in both our families in the last 3 generations) my husband is an identical twin , I felt my first movement 3 1/2 months, symptoms were much stronger than I remember with my first pregnancy.
I going crazy here wondering if I'm actually carrying 2 babies, exciting, scarey but mostly just anxious to find out.

I knew at 7wks that we were having twins & was measing farther along since 12wks. However, I was barely 5 feet tall & weighed less than 100lbs before pregnancy. Where else were the babies going to go but up! I'm sure the wait is driving you nuts! Keep us posted & good luck!

I know how you all feel. Ive been suspicious for awhile but thought i might be nuts so didnt sqay anything to my OB untill a weeka ago. I told her all my suspicions and she measured me. She wouldnt tell me what i was measuring at at the time but did ask if the only u/s i had was at the begingin afthe pregnancy. And mentioned that we would just wat to see at m next u/s. I was 34 weeks at the time. I was measured again at 35 weeks and im measureing at 41 weeks. Im currently 35 weeks 3 days and either i am having twins or this is a really really big baby. Unfortunatly i have to wait another 2 weeks for my u/s.

My sister measured big for all three of her pregnancies. 3 girls all weighing in at 10lbs or more. It just goes to show that you never know!

Thanks for your replies. I suppose it could be a big baby. I had Intra Uterine Growth Restriction with my daughter 6 years ago, so I am not use to being this big or being bigger, lol. I have my U/S next week. MelissaSLP-or any other twin moms, what did your movements feel like, could you tell there was more than one?

I wouldn't have guessed it early on if I hadn't known already, but I think by the 24th week or so, I could tell who was who in there. Mine were right next to eachother so if they were both moving at the same time my whole tummy would move. It was cool and freaky at the same time.
