Trying To Conceive With Clomid

Hi everyone, I'm 35 years old with 3 kids. All of which I got preg. with on my own. Now I have been told by my doc that I have PCOS. She put me on metformin and I am taking 3 times a day and has started me on clomid 50 mg for days 5-9. This is my first round of clomid and was wondering has anyone gotten preg on the first round or does it usually take longer? Also has anyone conceived twins on clomid? I know they say there is only a small chance of twins but I can't help but think that, that small chance is probably more.
