We just found out that we are having twins and while we are very excited, I keep thinking about the extra expense involved. My husband and I both work f/t, but the cost of putting 2 babies in daycare is going to be astronomical. Then if I quit working, I am afraid we will be in the poor house. I feel like we are between a rock and a hard place. How are you other mothers planning on handling the new circ_mstances of twins?

Hello Elycia. We are in the same boat as you. Although, I am in Canada, so things may be a bit different. We have a 3.5 yr old daughter at home and are struggling right now with dayhome payments. I am also worried about how we will cope after the babies are born. Have you thought about working from home? Maybe you could go back to school and receive a grant? As for us, my income isn't much more than what we would be paying for daycare, so I think I am going to stay home after the babies are born. Also, maybe there is a dayhome in your area that would give you a rate break for having more then on e child. another suggestion, for after the babies are a bit older, is to start a dayhome of your own. Maybe even a few children. (More tax write-offs)
Good luck to you and your family!
Erin
