I plan on taking U/P Clomid (100 mg on days 2-6) next cycle and am NOT planning on telling my doctor. My question is IF my ovaries DO get enlarged and overstimulated it will be visable on an ultrasound scan. How do I explain this? Are there other reasons ovaries can become overstimulated or would they know right away that it is a result of fertility treatments (ie. Clomid)?
Any help would be very apprecaited! Thanks so much!

Hi Mommy!
I have fertility problems and would probably get p/s Clomid, but read up about dosages of soy isaflvones having the same effect. I plan on taking it and if my doctor asks, I'm gonna be straight with her. I want to try more natural remedies before going all medical.
But it has been a concern for me also. So tell her you took soy or something, lol.
Good luck

Sorry, that would be "certain dosages". Apparantly that would be somewhere between 150mg and 250mg. I found a manufacturer that has a concentrated product, with a 250mg tablet, otherwise you have to take about 5 normal ones. I'm just skipping next cycle, as I need to plan around my exams. And as they are in January, I need to not be delivering at that time, lol.
And what is she gonna do anyway, force you to take a drug test and report you to the authorities? I doubt it.

Thanks for your repy, Macy! I didnt realise that Soy iso. have the same effect on the ovaries - thanks :)
Another ovary question - how long would they take to go back to "normal". If they do get overstimulated how long do would they stay enlarged?
Thanks ladies :)
