Hello. I just wanted to ask a quick question, don't know if anyone will know or not. I will soon be starting clomid and I am wondering if anyone knows how much of a chance there are for twins. Twins are also in my mothers family. Great grand parents had 3 sets, 13 kids all together wow, my grandfathers brother and his daughter. My mother lost a set of twins. DH is really hoping for twins, so am I but i'll be happy with 1 if that's what happens. Thanks for any answers.

Hi Lynn27, you are very lucky girll with all twins in your family. You have great chance to have twins as the whole your family had twins and sometimes one generation will not have tweens, like your mom so you are the next one.As well taking clomid makes you to have more eggs so more chance for 2 or more babies. If you are 35+ it gives you as well more points.I would love to have twins, but dont know total and real history from my parrents sides, and I am 39, taking clomid and going for IUI.I am O naturraly but not lucky yet to conceive even singlets. So it is may be just my dream and it may or may not become true.Good luck and baby twin dust to you.

I was told that we had a 10% chance of concieving twins. My first two pregnancies were singletons (second one ended in m/c) and my third pregancy was a twin pregnancy. Was on clomid because I don't ovulate. Those chances might be different if you are already ovulating on your own.
