When Does The First Trimester End -pg114891868818

I have read various opinions regarding the completion of the first trimester. Some books and websites have suggested the first trimester ends after week 12. However, others have stated that the end of week 14 or 15 is the end of the first trimester. Our doctor stated that week 14 or 15 is most likely the end of the first trimester. Any suggestions?
Also, my wife is now at week 12 with twins and her morning sickness has not gotten any better. Thankfully, she has only thrown up 3 times since getting pregnant however, she still complains daily that she is nauseous. Sometimes, she complains that her stomach hurts.
Anybody else going through the same thing?

It is very confusing and depending on who you talk to you will get different answers. According to my doctor I started my second trimester at the end of my 13rh week. it sort of makes sense - think of having to complete 12 weeks not necessarily the beginning of the 12th week. My morning/all day sickness didn't end until about 17 weeks. good luck

With all of my pregnancies my dr told me I was starting my second trimester at the beginning of my 13th week.
