so i am on cd 13, took clomid days 2-6 for this third cycle. everything was going well. i started getting some right sided pelvic pain/pressure two days ago, as usual before I ovulate. on cd12 i took an opk and it was positive. so we bd yesterday. well this morning i woke up and noticed some light va___al bleeding when i went to use the bathroom. i thought that was very very odd, so i took a pregnancy test and wham BFP twice. i think the opk was positive because of the pregnancy. ordinarily i would have been excited, but having just taken clomid the week before i was mortified thinking about a miscarriage and birth defects, etc. my husband and i went to the ER and all i kept thinking was oh no they are going to see multiple cysts and wander why my ovaries are so stimulated. anyway, my beta hcg (blood level) was 490, and the u/s didn't show anything in the uterus. it only should multiple cysts that the radiologist said could be from fertility treatments but to follow for resolution. c__p. i just told the doc that i've been taking AaaaLllllOT of fertility vitamins. anyway, my cervix was closed. so clinically that just means that i may or may not have a miscarriage. personally, i think its definitely a miscarriage because if i did get pregnant it would have been from last cycle, and i would expect my blood hcg to be much higher by now. plus the fact that clomid can cause miscarriage it you take it while pregnant. i have to get my levels checked again on monday, and i will let you know how it goes. i'm pretty bummed right now because something told me to not take the clomid this cycle. i took pregnancy test from 8 dpo until the second day of my period, and they were all negative. plus my nipples stopped being sensitive, so i thought it was progesterone withdrawal from af being about to start. anyway, it's just a waiting game now.

Happydaz,
You didnt wait to have your AF in order to drink clomid?? That is why they recommend drinking it as soon as AF comes around, to discard pregnancy possibilities. Anyway, Hope you feel well and be positive... Lets wait to see what happens next. I will have you in my prayers.

divadivina: i actually did have what i thought was AF with some light flow/spotting then 2 1/2 days of heavy flow before I started clomid. And my hpt was negative during this time. my best friend is an ob doctor and she was surprised that i didn't get a positive during my "af". she said that if it was implantation bleeding then i still would have gotten a positive hpt at that time. so i'm not sure why it was negative. i took at least 10 tests before starting clomid this month, including the day that i started it even though i was having heavy flow. i will have a better idea on monday. i'm not even having any pain or cramping, strange. thanks for your concern.

Happi- I am sorry you are going through this. It's weird that you didn't get a positive on hpt until after you had taken your Clomid. I really hope that everything turns out ok! Please take care of yourself and keep us posted on how the bw goes on Monday.

Krissy thanks for the thoughtful words. it does suck. and i can only blame myself. thats what hurts the most. even though i had those 10-ish negative pregnancy tests, i started to not do clomid because i didn't want to thin my lining out too much. i struggled over starting it and at the last minute i was like ok this is the last month i will use clomid for awhile. if only i would have not taken it, maybe things would be different. anyway, i am waiting on the phone call about my beta hcg. as for you, i wish you well during your surgery. i hope this makes it possible for you to get pregnant again. i'm so excited for you. talk to you soon.

happidaz - have you heard anything about your numbers yet? I know by the time you post again I will be off line. Please stop beating yourself up over this because you had no way of knowing. krissy the beta went down from over to under 100. i imagine by wednesday an hpt will be negative. we are understandably sad about this, but i know that its going to be okay. i think we will try again this month but without clomid since i don't know what the days of my cycle will be this month until i have another period. this will give my ovaries a chance to decrease the cysts. plus, i'm completely out of clomid. anyway, i wish you a speedy recovery and i can't wait to hear how your surgery goes.

happidaz - I am so sorry that this is has happened to you. I will keep you in my prayers. As for me I also got bad news both of my tubes are blocked as if my tubes are tied. My only option is IVF so I guess I will not be having any more kids. Thank you very much for all the support. I will talk to you soon. Krissy
