My mum is a twin so what are the chances that I will have twins?? Does anyone know any exact figures or percentages or at least a website where I might be able to find the information??

It depends on if your mom is an identical or fraternal twin. Is she is a fraternal twin, your chances do go up a bit to have fraternal twins yourself. If she is an identical twin, it is about a .05% chance since they are a gift from nature. There are some saying that they can run in the family with the sperm carrying a certain type of protein and the female's egg being receptive to it. It is still a low percentage.

if you or your mother or grandmother is a fraternal twin your chances are 1 in 17, BUT, I rarely have seen that play out in real life. There are SO many other factors that come into play that increase your factors for fraternal twins. If you get pg and are under 25 it pretty much negates the 1 in 17 chance.
