Answer: Hi there! I am new to this and just really needed to join "something" to show me I am not alone! Im 21 years old got married in June 06' Hubbs and I have been trying since August 06'.. No success.. Very Irreg. Periods.. Just went to a new doc. she started me in Glumetza..aka.. metformin and she had me take provera.. I started clomid on day 3 took it through 7 and Sat go back to have a day 12 U/S to see if I am Ovulating.. So I will keep u posted .. Wish me luck and Pray for me!!!! =

I am awaiting a/f to start my first round of clomid. I will take CDs 3-7 as everything I have read on here seems to show that as a good chance. Thank you all for your stories I am addicted to reading everyone's experiences. I am so excited...baby dust to all!!!! :-)

Hello everyone. I too am a new member to this site and could use any help you may want to share. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost 2.5 years now. I recently decided to give clomid a shot after being reluctant of having multiple births. I figured why not give it a shot. I did however change OB/GYN's basically because the first diagnosed me with PCOS without doing any tests. He prescribed metformin, which I could not take. So I decided to see another MD who I thought would be more conclusive. He prescribed provera for me to first get me to have a period (I had been without for almost two months). I took that, then had a period and days 5-9, took clomid (50mg). I also check my BBT every morning, and had in fact ovulated. I was unsuccessful that month for conceiving, but I did have a period on my own at day 35 of my cycle. I am now on my second month of clomid, and am at day 27. I did ovulate this month and knew it (by feeling pain in my right side) and with the surge in BBT. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, since we had s_x every other day around the time I ovulated and that day as well. I did however have twinging pains the day after ovulation around my bladder/uterus region. I don't know if that's a good sign or not?? Has anyone experienced any pains/ discomfort in your abdomen due to clomid? I know the first month I took it about a week before, I had awful pains in my abdomen, and then cramped about four days before actually starting my period. Just curious..

cmichele24: Hi!! I was so excited to hear your story.. B>C mine is very similiar.. I like you don't have reg periods on my own. in fact I dont have them at all.. I had had two in 8 months.. So I went to the doctor and they said I had PCOS. They put me on metformin.. COULDNT TAKE IT! .. It made me feel sick and achey.. So there is a new ext. release form of it called GLUMETZA.. it does not affect me that way. I can actually take it no prbs.. and I take it twice daily. (with food).. Any how I was put on provera to get e to start then on clomid CD 3-7 Now I am awaiting for an U/S tomorrow to know if I ovulated and my eggs dropped... Im excited and I need strength and prayer.. My poor husband is prolly gettin TIRED OF ME.. lol.. I am trying not to put pressure on him to "perform".. BUT I am so excited and so scared that I may miss my ovulatoin window.. I really want a baby and so does he.. but all the pressure on him isn't good so I keep tellin' myself just let him do his thing!!! He is a great husband and supports me and puts up with it.. lol.. As far as the twinging pains.. I am having them a bit in my left side today.. so I dono maybe its OVULATION??.. We will c tomorrow I will keep you all posted!!!!!!

Hello Hollie.. I hope everything works out for you. I wonder about my prescription with clomid...my MD gave me 4 mo. refill, so if nothing happens after my last round, I wonder if he will let me continue with the dosage, or refer me to a fertility clinic. I have read that most people only take clomid for 6 months. I do know that some have taken it longer than that. I am just curious as to what the cut-off is. My husband is away right now (military) and he was hoping when he comes back (next week), I'll be pregnant. Hope I don't disappoint him..:)

Hi CMichelle...Well good news went back to the doc. today and she told me I DO HAVE 5 eggs they just arent big enough yet so I have to go back to her on the 30th to see if they have grown.. BUT yea IM MAKIN EGGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Havent O'd yet... rpolly in another week according to my doc. so... yea we're advised to keep doin the baby dance and we wills ee what happens?.. If my eggs dont get big enough on this first try of clomid... shes upping my dose and IM SO EXCITED.. she told me " We are working with the BEST POSSIBLE scenario....Well I will TTYL.. Good Luck!!!

Ps.. Im not sure about the clomid.. I just started it I read no more than 6 months at atime but my dr. never said nothin about it and she told me if we had to we would go up to 5 pills a day of clomid... OF COURSE that would be GREAT CHANCES of Multiple Birth!!!

Congrats Hollie. I haven't been advised yet on whether or not I need to have my eggs checked. In fact, the MD never said anything to me about follow up visits. I guess if nothing happens as far as pregnancy goes after these 4 months, I will make an appt. to see if I need to have some tests run. I am amazed to know that I have ovulated for the two months I have taken clomid and have had my period on my own (w/o taking provera again). I am on day 31 now and my BBT has been up for 15 days. Hope this is a good sign.. Talked to my husband last night and he's excited about finding out when he gets back to the states. I figure I will take a preg test next Sat. to see. That will give me about 2.5 weeks since ovulation. I'm hoping.. and you be sure to keep us posted!!

i did my first round of clomid last month, took 100mgs, cd 5-9. found out i was pregnant july 24th, i am having an ultrasound done tuesday i will let you know if it is one or more.

well my update is they only saw one sac so no multiples for me
