Hello ladies...After talking to a co-worker about ttc, she recommended a book that I picked up and read cover to cover and now will be using this as my ttc BIBLE!! Some of you may have heard about it, but it is so very informational and makes complete sense! It is called Taking Charge of Your Fertility, written by Toni Weschler. From one ttc woman to another...I highly suggest taking a look at this book.
My co-worker had spent years and tens of thousands of $$ on tests, drugs, IUI's, and multiple failed IVF's after finally giving up. After just 2 cycles of following the book's advise...bam! she got pregnant with her now 2 y/o healthy son!
It was very eye opening and gave me much hope!
Good luck ladies!

Hey ladies,
For those who use or did use Fertility Friend, have yall every experienced it calculating your O day wrong? I am on cd18 and I have been OPK testing for the last 9 days all with -. During this entire time I have had ewcm and cramps. Today I put in my temp and all the sudden it poped up saying that I O'ed on cd14.
I am hoping that it is wrong and that I haven't actually O'ed yet because my dh was unavailable for a couple of days arounf that time and we only bd'ed once. And that was on cd12. I am so worried because I dont want to be 4dpo yet.
Abby - When did you say that you bd'ed on your last cycle?

Hello,
Hope everyone is good.
Welcome JesPen! Best of luck to you! As far as your questions about clomid, if you have been ovulating with it and you have intercourse on your fertile days you should be getting pregnant pretty soon as long as your husband's sperm is normal and you have no other major issue that could impair fertility. Keep in mind that a healthy couple has a 20-25% chance each month of conceiving naturally, so it might not happen right away but eventually it will. Keep taking the clomid, baby dancing at the right time, positive att_tude and hopefully you'll have a BFP very soon!!!!
Lilyloo, thanks for the suggestion on the book. I already read it and unfortunately didn't help me out that much as the book is not geared so much towards women with PCOS or thyroid condition or other medical condition affecting fertility. It touches on these subjects but basically tells you to go to a doctor.
So ready and Trying good luck on your 2ww wait!
Hrath, did you get AF?
I will be going to my RE again tomorrow for another u/s to see if my follicles grew. I am getting negative on this cycle since I haven't felt any cramping or twinges or anything, maybe I'm resistant to clomid:( that would be terrible news. Anyways, I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Alexia81! Yes, the hubbys sperm count is normal, the problem has unknowingly been me. When after all this time, (my youngest is 8)I didn't get pregnant, my Dr. told me I wasnt ovulating and we began the clomid. Im new to this process and Im sure everyone on this journey can agree, it's an emotional roller coaster!! What is the deal with 'follicles'? I dont know what any of that means.

Jespen,
Tell me about it, this process has been one of the hardest I've experienced. I basically a__sumed I would get pregnant as soon as I stopped birth control and now almost 1 yr later still no pregnancy (I did get pregnant in March but had an early miscarriage or chemical pregnancy as it is medically called, which just added more pain and anxiety to this difficult journey in TTC.)
Follicles are cells in your ovaries which contain the ovum or eggs. Every month follicles grow and when they become mature enough one (or more than one if on fertility treatment), ruptures and an egg is released (ovulation).
My doctor is monitoring me with the clomid so every couple of days they do an ultrasound to measure the size of the follicles and see if they are growing (if I am responding to the clomid). When they reach at least 18mm its considered mature and they would give me a trigger shot for ovulation to occur (the mature egg (s) to be released).
Is your doctor monitoring you?

HI girls! I don't feel good at all today. I couldnt sleep and kept waking up every two hours and had two nightmares that were really ridiculous. My poor DH. He was trying to make me laugh. Now I am at work just feeling really poopy. My b___sts are still sore and so are my under arms. Have a headache and my uterus area just feels weird. I keep drinking water. Yesterday I must of drank a gallon alone. I think it's still too early to take a test, so I am just playing the waiting/guessing game. Just got done eating a chicken penne pasta. I almost finished the whole thing. Boy, I better be careful. How are all of you doing? I hope all is well. Best wishes.

Hello all,
So I had my HSG today. It was really painful even though I was given a local anesthetic but I somehow got through it. The good news is, my tubes are not blocked! Also had the dh's SA, and guess what, it came back normal too :) So all in all, a good day for me after many months of nothing but disappointment! The RE told us after everything was done that based on my hormone levels, HSG and dh's SA, she is very hopeful that the first couple of cycles should be enough for me to get pg. I still have two weeks of BCPs to finish, then I can get started. Everyone please pray for me b/c I can really only afford one cycle of injectibles.
Good luck all with your cycles!

I am 26 years old and very ready to have a baby. I have only been pregnant once but had an abortion due to cheating. Its a mistake that I regret but now i wonder if I will ever become pregnant again. It took 4 years for me to get pregnant the first time. It has been 3 years since the abortion. I have tried and tried since then, but have had no success. I am seriously considering clomid. I have recently started taking vitex and drinking red raspberry leaf tea. My cycles have never been to regular. My last four periods were as follows
5/18/2009
6/10/2009
7/17/2009
8/26/2009
What should I do?

Ari82: Welcom among us.
Well 1st of all you should go to your obgyn and then he/she might prescribe you clomid and some testing too.
There are some ladies here that is taking unprescribe clomid but then Its better to have them prescribe.
Hope I help.

OK, since everyone spoke so highly of 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility', I got myself a copy. For those of you who have read it, is it saying that my MOST FERTILE day/days are during the 'egg-white/stretchy'
stage? I just want to be absolutely sure. This really is an informative book, so happy I read it!!

Ari81, welcome! You should definitely go to a Dr. figure out what's going on and if clomid is right for you. Its important you get the clomid through your Dr. and be monitored on it.
How is everyone else doing?
I just got back from my second u/s, unfortunately my follicles are still small (the biggest one was 8mm). The Dr. said he believes this is just a delayed ovulation since my E2 levels are increasing and well as my lining. I need to go back on Monday again. The problem I have is on Thursday my husband and I are traveling. My sister is getting married in Switzerland, not the most ideal place to have a wedding, but that's where her fiance is from and she just loves the country so wanted to have it there. I won't be able to be monitored from Thursday until Monday when we return. I don't know what could happen in those days regarding my follicle growth, etc. AHHHH!!!! this is so frustrating. I already made up my mind nothing is going to happen this month. I hope next month I will do injectibles since I'm not responding too well to the clomid.
Maya444, that's great news about your HSG and DH's sperm count! Hopefully a BFP is coming soon!
Krissy68, how are you doing?
hrath, sounds like af is definitely on its way, that's good news. Keep us posted.
All of you on your 2ww wait, best of luck and let us knows what happens.
