I took femara 2.5mg cd 3-7 only had 1 12mm follicle and it never o'd and had a very short luteal phase. Studies show if you take 7.5mg on cd 3 your better off I would take the 2 pills cd2 then3 pills or 7.5mg on cd 3 you will have more follicles. Femara is known for only one follicle. Cause the 5-9 didn't work for me with just 2.5mg I was upped to 5.0mg cd 3-7 and I instead took 10mg cd 2 and 15mg cd 3 and had 2 follicles and longer lp. There is a study that 10mg cd2 and 3 is a higher risk of twins on femara good luck!

Hello Ladies... I am a 28 year old with one child who is 4....I have been trying to get pregnant since January 2008, well that was when my next depo injection was due, come october 08, I still did not have my period, so i went to the doc for my annual and discussed it with him, he put me on provera and clomid and metformin...I took the provera got my AF then days 5-9 took 150mg of clomid, and every day took 1500 mg of metformin...I have been doing the clomid/metformin since oct 08 , temps finally said ovulation in March 09 and april 09 and may 09...and been doing opk's, had intercourse the days i tested positive, still no luck, as you can imagin i am pretty fed up with all the pills, temp taking, peeing on a stick ..etc...so i decided i was gonna take a few months off to de stress about the whole thing, i canceled my doc apppt ( ins does not cover, so don't wanna go unless I have to) and I plan to restart the process again in August...is this ok to do? thanks for any input any of you ladies can send my way...

hey schar thanks for the info, i guess i will have to try and see, i wont have the pils on in my hands, i have to pick m up on cd5, its 2, 2.5mg pills a day. so i dont know... i guess we just gotta see... i dont know why they are switching though i was ovulating with clomid, had one follicle, i dont care abt twins, as long as i have healthy baby /babies.. i guess i will find out on cd 12 hw many folicle is there etc; cant wait!!!!

Hailey, I think it might be a good idea to take a break. If you are getting stressed out with the whole ttc, you need to give your body a break. I have been ttc since April 08 after a miscarriage. I had no problem getting pregnant in the past, but I had a problem staying pregnant. After trying with no success I ask my OB if I could try clomid. My OB gave me the rx with 4 refills and told me if I wasn't pregnant after that I would need to go see a specialist. I had no testing at all with my OB. After my 4 months was over I starting going to a RE which was much better. I did another cycle of clomid. All cycles were 100 mg CD 3-7. My 6th cycle I tried follistim and had a IUI, BFN, and my current cycle(7) I took 150 clomid 3-7 and two 150 follistime shot and it is now CD 28 with 3 more days to AF. I need to take a break so bad. It seem the ttc is way to much for me. I got so upset the yesterday that it was a bfn I got in a fight with DH. It got really bad and he left. This is turning out to be a really bad month. I am starting to face the fact that I may never be a mother now. I am sorry for going on, but I just needed to get some of this out. I love this site following everyone's journey and all the positive feedback. I wish all the soon to be mom a healthy pregnancy. 12 DPO and got a BFN today, AF is due Saturday or Sunday,so we'll see what happens. Temps down the last 2-3days and today my temps reached coverline so not looking to good for me this month. CD 28, 13 DPO here I come, just wish SOMETHING would happen at this point! Hope~ Sorry to here about AF, maybe you will have a spring baby instead of winter eh? good luck on the new meds next round! Hailey I suggest stopping all pills take vitex everyday it willhelp regulate your hormones and may work better than clomid vitex u can get at a health food store any 1 pill the doses are higher than u need so just take 1 pill It helped me get pg with#1.

Schar~ Your temps went down right? How far? Did they go down to your coverline? My temps have just went below coverline today, and I guess I am just waiting for AF, but I wanted to ask you first about your experience since you were worried about your temps going down. Af is due Sunday. Sam

Sunshine: my temps went .2 below coverline and now are above 98 so temps are good now I have seen many charts where temps go below coverline up to .4 for 2-3 days then jump up but thats usually before 10dpo there are exceptions though go to tcoyf . com and search the cycle gallery that says odd temps it is on the right of the pink book with the lady on it I check this site it shows pregnancy charts girl charts boy charts etc even with out signning up I didn't good luck! HOW ARE ALL THE CYCLE BUDDIES???? Any one test???

today is cd13 and still not yet test just afraid of the BFN so i prefer wait for the date AF should show up which should be by tomorow or sunday or monday if not i'll have a b/w done

Hope - So sorry that AF showed up. I was on the same schedule.. They say that the famera is really good that some women with PCOS don't respond well to clomid but then do great on the famera. I did really goo on it and did the IUI but didn't get preggo but i did have great follicles and I did ovulate on it.

Thanks Schar. I have been looking through charts like mine and have only found 2 that resulted in pregnancy. It is late in the game but I hope my temps go up tomorrow. If they do I will bust out of bed and dance around the house! Last month I got AF on CD 28, and today is CD 28 (13 DPO), so if I get AF it will prob be tomorrow, hmmm maybe I will wake up and she will already have visited me throughout the night. I hate it when that happens! Ladies keep your fingers crossed for me! Sam

My Temp went down this morning so I am expecting to see AF tomorow bt i still Hope my temp will come back up tomorow. Today is cd27 and 14dpo.

well temps are good and I took another hpt yesterday that was lighter than the one from 2 days ago now the one today is darker than yesterdays I hope it is just the difference in sensitivity I am going to doc Wed or Fri next week if still pg

AF came today, not much of a surprise just a dissapointment. So two months of 28 day cycles on clomid under my belt. I started out aggressively at 150 mg days 2-6, but this time I think I will take it easy and do 50 mg days 3-7. Is this a bad idea to lower the dosage after I have already been on a higher dose? I wish my insurance would cover fertility, and it will in January when it changes, but for now I am on my own. Any advice ladies?
