AF came today, not much of a surprise just a dissapointment. So two months of 28 day cycles on clomid under my belt. I started out aggressively at 150 mg days 2-6, but this time I think I will take it easy and do 50 mg days 3-7. Is this a bad idea to lower the dosage after I have already been on a higher dose? I wish my insurance would cover fertility, and it will in January when it changes, but for now I am on my own. Any advice ladies?

sorry about the af sunshine, but hopefully next month will be out month... I am not sure how ur body will react to a lower dosage. Have you called a RE's office to see how much a consultation is? i think they run from 200 up, and each test is like 150+, maybe you can take a step at a time? my insurance doesnt cover it either, but they are still going to bill them to see if they do, otherwide i am sure i will have less then 500 bill. U will be supprised, give them a call and see if they can email you price list for services.

Sam if you go to your ob and get prescribed clomid then your insurance will cover the visit just ask doc before u leave for cloid it i only about 10-20 dollars for the generic at walmart/ walgreens and I sugget staying on 100 if it made u O that how I got pg this month also used progesterone/ pre-seed and so far so good got more tests that are darker so I will be going in at about 5 weeks good luck and baby dust to all ttc!

hey I was one of your cycle buddies sorry that AF show its face SunshineSam . I hope i'll be lucky to get my BFP this month if not next month i will be taking estrogen for CM in complement with clomid and progesteron and also pre-seed and i'll ask my OB if there is a posibility to give me the triger shot. I want that BFP next month cos next month is my birthday LOL.

I've been following this site for a long time, everyone on here is very supportive and gives out lots of good advice. We've been trying for about eight months, I've had four miscarriages in the last couple of years, one being identical twin girls, the last one was ectopic. I do have two children a girl & a boy. I'm on Cycle day 20 I took clomid--prescribed by my OB/GYN 100mg days 3-7 I used the OV watch to help detect ovulation, it was super easy to use and no ha__sle. I've been sort of feeling 'off' ever since about four-five days past ovulation. I've always wanted to have a baby born in February, I'm hoping this will be our month!! The not knowing is hard, I want to test but I know from past pregnancies that's too early. I have a HCG test requisition card in my wallet, once I know for sure then I'll find out the numbers. I'll keep everyone posted.

Welcome Kate, keeping my fingers crossed for you, hopefully this is your month, how manys days till you test? as for me cd 3 today, will start famera on cd 5-9, going for ultra sound on cd12, tomorrow (monday morning ) Dh is going in for SA, he is hella nervous about that.lol i will pick up my rx tonight, and do more research on it, it will be my first time on famera.... Af came this morning so anew cycle new hope. I'll be taking clomid tommorow cd2-6.

hi Hope, I'll test on Wednesday, that will be 10 days past ovulation. The only time I had a positive that early was when I had the ectopic pregnancy, but I have lots of tests (from ebay) so I'm willing to try. I'm feeling quite tired, more than my normal, I'm also confused if I'm feeling the side effects from the clomid, I've read that taking clomid can increase PMS symptoms.

hi shashna, i am cd 3 today, so once again we are cycle buddies :-) Kate, i guess u will find out on wednesday, hang in there girl, i waited close to AF date and then tested and next thing u know AF showed up... so i guess sometimes its better to just forget and wait, i know its not easy...

Thanks for the advice guys. I will look into an RE, at another hospital. The hospital I work for does not take care of fertility whatsoever. We have patients that we have to turn away all the time that are trying to concieve. Since it is a county hospital the docs are not paid to see patients with fertility problems, which really sucks because anyone who can't afford to go somewhere else is out of luck. I am going to research a couple other hospitals nearby. ~So Shashana and Hope, we are cycle buddies again! I am CD 2 today, and I hope these days go by quick! I am gonna do 100mg days 3-7 this time instead of 2-6 at 150 mg. Good luck Hope with your new meds! Thats exciting that you are getting to have a u/s so then you will be able to get some answers! Good luck to all TTC I understand how it feels after 2/ mc and a preemie. I just really hope things go well for you all. Whom ever is taking Femara the best way to take it I explained before your chances of twins is actually 20% if you do it the way I did 10mg cd 2 and 10mg cd 3 the doc won't know the difference. If you guys have any questions just ask I will say what I didn't get to do on the past 2 months TTC is fall asleep after bding this time after I bd I did it right before bed and didn't get up for a few hours cause it can take sperm 15min-2hrs to reach the egg. That is the best advice it worked 4x for mre even though 2 were m/c that was because of my really low progesterone below 10. Have a good night I will be able to answer questions/ chat whatever on Mon, Tues, Wed night starting at 10:30 up until 5am the following morning.

Good Luck this comming month ladies! I am really excited about June! I hope the days go by quickly. When I told my husband that AF came, he was upset but at the same time he was excited about another month of unlimited BDing. What a man! My daughter is the flower girl in a wedding on the 13th the day I should "O", so I have a lot to look forward to this month! My husbands bday is the 25th so hopefully by then I can get a BFP and surprise him for his bday! I am going to try to excersize a lot more this month and eat even healthier. schar, i will try ur method next cycle, already crossed cd 2, and i dont think i want twins, not sure... one would do... but will definatley try everything, so m on cd3 hey lots of birhtdays in june aye, my dh's birthday is on june 13th...

hey Hope it just guarntees 2 eggs just a higher chance of pregnancy in general cause femara is know for only 1 egg. Thanks Sun good luck!See u on June thread!
