I thought it would be fun to share thoughts and stories with other women expecting twins around the same time. Its my first pregnancy and I am excited and overwhelmed to be starting with two!

HI. I AM EXPECTING IN APRIL NOT SURE IF I AM HAVING TWINS THOUGH? I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD ALREADY AND MY SIGNS ARE VERY DIFFERENT AND I FEEL SOME MOVEMENT FOR ONLY 11 WEEKS? WILL FIND OUT WEDS..... CONGRATS TO YOU JENNIFER!!!

Hi Mandy - Its funny, I feel like I can feel movement too, although everything I read says its too early. I can't imagine taking care of a three year old while dealing with all the pregnancy symptoms - I hope you have some good support so that you can find time to rest. Good luck on Wednesday, and I'd love to hear how it turns out!

Hi LYNDA - Congratulations! I am so impressed by you and MANDY who both already have children to take care of while you are dealing with a twin pregnancy. It sure helps me keep perspective. I'll be twelve weeks on Thusday - so we are really on the same track. Have you been feeling alright during the first trimester, or has it been a struggle?

Hello everyone. i am due in april too. i was told today that i am probably have twins i am hurting already but it feels like stretching . Is that normal. This will be my first pregnancy. I am scared but at the same time happy...what do i need to do?

Jennifer - September 20

Hi Faith - its my first pregnancy too, so I don't have any advice based on experience, but I would say just to be sure to have a good doctor. From what I hear, having twins means extra monitoring, and I think it is best to have a good doctor who can answer all your questions and be proactive about your care.

Hi, It has been a struggle I have felt really tired n sick all the time. How about you ? I have felt alot better for the past 2 days though so i really hope the worst is over. Am at midwife on Thurs so should get a proper Edd. I too am sure for the past few days I have felt some movement. Hope all goes well

Jennifer - September 22

I was struggling with nausea and vomiting during weeks 8-11. The last week I was less sick and just more tired. I thought maybe I was done throwing up, but then I rang in the twelfth week by losing my breakfast! I hope your trip to the midwife today is great, lynda. I'm curious, though, I thought with twins we're cla__sified as high-risk and can't use a midwife.

Got my edd it is 4 April. How closely are you been monitored. I thought i should be getting more scans ect but not to go back to the midwife till im 16 week dont have a scan until 20 weeks which will only be my second one.

Jennifer - September 28

I had a nucal translucency scan (for Down's Syndrome and other genetic defects) last Friday at 12 weeks. I am having another sonogram at 16 weeks to check on their growth, and then at 20 to do the full anatomical scan. They told me I'd be in every month, and then this would increase during the first trimester. I also see my OB/GYN separately from the scan each month. I actually think he's going to tell me that I need to see him every two weeks now that I am in the second trimester - he alluded to something like that early on. I think this is the normal course, but my doctor is generally being very proactive because I had some bleeding very early on in the pregnancy.

Jennifer - September 28

oops...I mean "increase during the third trimester"

lynda - September 28

can i just ask where you live is it in england

Jennifer - September 29

I live in New York City

lynda - September 30

I live in England this must be why the care is different.

I am having twins due in March 2006. This is my first pregnancy past 10wks. I am wondering whether I should be feeling movement yet. I feel pressure inside, but is that movement, is that normal. I don't know and no one I know has had twins before.

Nikki - September 30

I'm 24, first pregnancy, and I just found out I'm pregnant (6wks.) with twins and had some questions for anyone expecting multiples .... Is it normal to have to pee every 2 1/2 to three hours? Also, my b___sts are soooo sore... like untouchable sore.... is this normal too? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.
