hi lynette ive just read your post and it was like reading my own experience! this is also my second pregnancy, due date 01 May 06, and my first pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage. i'm such a bundle of nerves as i'm hardly showing, not feeling any movement, and i know what you mean about the morning sickness - i have been feeling much better over the past few days, but i keep thinking is something wrong as im not feeling sick anymore! regarding showing, my stomach seems to be all flat in the morning and then bulging by the evening - are you also experiencing this?

Also expecting twins here. Due May 8th but who knows..This is my 3rd pregnancy and at 12 weeks showing very much. I am also feeling movement. We found out last week it was twins and I could not sleep for almost 2 days. Was totally stunned. They are in 2 sacs and we will be finding out what they are when we have our next ultrasound. So thrilled, can hardly wait. My doctor told me it's not unusual to feel twins sooner, but everyone is different. I know I can feel them cause I told the doctor where to check for the heartbeats. She was too high on the bottom baby, she moved it down to where it was and there it was. Heartbeat on one was 170..maybe girl??? Don't care... Does anyone know of any good websites with info on having twins?

Hi there Janice! Wow, we do sound like we have a similar situation, don't we?! I know what you mean about the gradual bloating over the day. I think with this being our first pregnancy (not counting the m/c because it wouldn't have "stretched" us) it is quite normal not to be showing too much yet. Even though later we will show much more than people with one baby, I guess at the moment it's only 2 x "not very big" so that's why they aren't showing. Where are you in the world? I'm down in Australia. You must be about due for your next scan, where you will see two healthy little babies and your mind will be put at ease. My next scan is on the 9th of November and I absolutely can't wait. It will be a huge relief (although very scary as that is the scan where we discovered the last pregnancy had ended!). Oh yeah, apparently for most people morning sickness peaks at about 8-11 weeks and then after 13 or so starts to subside, so it sounds like you are right on target :-). Angie, 2 sites (well, only pages really) that I found very helpful for twin information are: http://www.pregnancy.org/article.php?sid=1325 and http://www.vh.org/pediatric/patient/pediatrics/parentsoftwins/. Take care everyone! :-)

With the addresses above, leave out the -'s!! I don't know why that happens when you post web addresses on here (lol!)

hi lynette! its amazing how sharing experiences can be so rea__suring! i guess its because this is my first pregnancy, and its all so new! i know exactly how you feel about the scans, i also feel extremely excited but also completely petrified as we also found out at our first scan (11 weeks) that i had m/mc. i've already had 2 scans, first one at 11 weeks when we discovered the twins! what joy! and then second one at just over 12 weeks, it was a nuchal scan to test for downs and what a relief to see those little heartbeats were still pumping away and they were both low risk for downs too! i need to go in for another scan on 7 november as the consultant could not decide whether they were identical or non-identical at the nuchal scan! ooh its all so exciting but nervewrecking at the same time! i'm south african but living in the uk at the moment! you are right about 'showing' i guess i just cant wait to see a belly and feel them moving! :-) please keep in touch and let me know how you are doing, would be fab to share experiences as we are due a few weeks apart! take care! ps. for a giggle: i bought a cake the other day and announced to my husband that i decided to buy a small one as its only the two of us anyway, to which he replied 'you mean the four of us!' :-)

Lynette - October 26

Janice, what an adorable thing for your husband to say. It is such an amazing thing - you must both be so over the moon. When was your missed m/c? Mine was in January and it took 6 months to fall pregnant again (worth the wait in the end though!). I didn't know they could tell if identical or fraternal from scans! I read that they could only tell from a blood test after they were born, or by a___lysing what was expelled after birth. That's exciting if they can! I have a strong feeling mine are fraternal. They are in separate sacs (which means only 1/3 chance of identical) and also I think I've got twins because I'm 34 and that is a "risk" factor because you release more eggs around then. Do you have a feeling either way? Our scans are 2 days apart - what a hoot - we can compare notes :-) Take care!

Janice - October 27

hi lynette. i m/c the end of may. and was only going to start trying in the new year again... so much to our surprise and twins too! we are delighted, it seems such a miracle! you must be too! i think they can tell if they are identical/fraternal by looking at s_x/uterus etc. not exactly sure but will hopefully find out soon. are you going to find out the s_x of your bambinos? im dying to know, but think we might save the surprise til the end! hows your nausea, i'm starting to feel a little better, but not completely nausea free yet! and are you having any cravings yet? i cant seem to get enough milk and philadelphia cheese!

Lynette - October 27

Janice, I will definitely try to find out the s_x(es!!) at my 20 week scan. I probably would have for one, but definitely for two - there is just so much to think about. Like, if you don't know, then you end up buying a heap of things in yellow and white, so if you have a boy and girl you can't tell them apart (with their clothes on, that is ;-) ). And if it's two girls, I'd like to have little bracelets made up with their names on so I don't confuse them - not sure what to do for two boys yet! And there's more names to decide on! I would love to be patient enough to wait until the birth, so good on you if you do! My nausea is just starting to settle a bit. I was only ever actually sick once (after orange juice too early in the morning), the rest of the time it's just that I feel sick thinking about food but also if I go 2 hours without it! Good on you for craving healthy food! Sounds like your bones will thank you for all of the calcium :-). I'm not really craving anything, but normally I'm a chocolate girl and now I'd prefer crisps - strange! Only a week and a few days until your scan - are you excited??? Well, I feel a bit like we've taken this thread over a bit, so if you feel like emailing me my address is lynettski@yahoo.com.au (don't forget the au!). But if you'd prefer to chat on here that's fine too!! take care :-)

Amber - November 14

HI ladies...it has been awhile since the last entry on here, so I hope I am not all alone on here...I am 18 weeks pregnant with twins, my edd in April 19, 2006, but I have been told allready that it will be sooner then that....well to get up to date my pregnancy prior to now was filled with horrible morning sickness, which was not expected and my last pregnancy I had none. I have a 16 month old at home right now....I found out it was twins when I went to the emergency room at 7 weeks due to bleeding and was amazed to learn that there was not only nothing wrong but there were two babies...my first pregnancy ended on a mc at around 7 weeks, and my second went to 28 weeks with the birth of our son....I first felt the twins moving early on around 12 weeks, starting as flutters and now they are much more noticable....I look right now as if I were 6 months pregnant, but feel like I am 8 months....I am very uncomfortable most of the time, not sleeping very much and tired all the time.....i find it hard because my little one wants to play and have all of my attention....His dad is great, he is working two jobs, so I can stay home, and he does my share of stuff around the house most of the time....I am excited about the birth of our twins, but I am scared as well, mostly with time managment and keeping it all together emotionaly. We have our 18 week 4D ultrasound on Nov 16 where we should find out the s_x of the babies. They are in there own seperate sacs, with their own umbilical cords which I hear is a good thing when it comes to risks with twins. Well I rambled on for I am sure long enough, but I would love to hear from some or all of you about your little bundles and experiences. One more thing I have a Question that maybe is familiar to some, I have been noticing a lot more cramping and tightning in my belly sometimes even painful, and the other day I noticed a little spotting, that did not last long, but I am curious to hear if it sound normal. Take care

Faith - November 14

Hello everyone.I haven't wrote to yall in a while either. Amber everything will be ok, You have a good man behind you and a loving family. I will be 16 weeks tomm with twins. The ob/gyn diagnose me with preganancy induced high blood pressure, so i have been having a rough time with that. Plus my boyfriend that got me pregnant doesn't want to stay with me. He rather be with his ex gfs. especially one that made a threat to kill me and the babies. I think deep down he wants me to miscarriage, but i am not and pray to god everyday that they are safe. I have not been gaining much wieght cause of stressing. Last night i went to the hosiptal and the doctor said i had a mild mild stroke. I am so trying to keep this family together. I was not raise in a broken home and either was he. He gives me mis signal all the time. But i made a decision ( though not carve in stone) that since he doesn't want to be with me or the children then i am moving back up north. That way I can be happier. His family is great and will not keep them from the kids but he will not be allowed cause he wanted to abort them from the day i told him and that he rather be with a woman who wanted to kill me and the babies. So i have to watch for them and me....Thanks for taking the time to read my tragedy....Hope to hear from yall soon, Faith

Amber - November 14

Faith, I am so sorry th hear that things have been difficult fo you so far...I don't want to sound preachy, but just think of the little mirical you do have and stay strong and try to remain clam...I wish you all the best truly. please keep in touch

Faith - November 14

Thank you Amber for your response. I am trying to stay calm. But we live together with his dad and he told me that i need to found my own place and move out. I am down here in louisiana and with my doctor bills it is hard to found a place on my own, but i will keep poisitive about everything. Maybe it is for the best that we are together so i know the kids will be safe.

Jenn - December 5

Hi. I am expecting identical twins in May. I have a six year old, and I find it hard to take care of him due to the extreme morning sickness

cindy - December 8

to all of you expecting twins. What was the earliest you started feeling movements. i know i'm probably crazy and i don't even know if i'm having twins ( i have a scan on monday) but i just have this strong feeling that i am. I'm only 7 weeks and this is my third pregnancy (had one m/c) and i swear i can feel the fluttering movements of a baby (or two). is this totally impossible and i'm only feeling gas?? it just feels so much like the first movements that i had with my son.

Tara - December 12

Hi everyone, I am 26 weeks pg with natural twins, they have their own sacs and placenta, have a level 2 u/s to find out for sure if identical or not and to make sure everything is good. I am a mom of 7 chidren, 15,14,12,11,8,5,3. this is my 9 pg we had a m/s in feb. so this pregnancy is very exciting but yet nerve racking. I think I feel them fluttering around in there. m/s is all day sickness and after I eat it is worse. all I can do is look forward to each day, and cant wait to meet these little miracles. I am 34 and married to hubby for 16 years so we are very happy. I hope all goes well with all you ladies and hang in there. Take care. talk later Tara
