have had a medical issue with your pregnancy? I didn't have any but I know they are more common in a multiple pregnancy. Just out of curiosity.

I'm not sure about it as of yet. I had my first u/s last week. I am curremtly 8 wks 5 days pregnant. During the u/s the tech spotted two yolk sacks, but only one fetus. I have been researching and have seen that some twins are not discovered during the first u/s. The technician did not seem to spend much time looking at the second yolk sack, but I would like to know if anyone out there has experienced something similar.

Yes the exact same thing happened to me. My baby girl was born in Apr/05 and I had my first u/s in Sept/04. My doctor told me twins were conceived but I would only deliver one (after she evaluated the u/s) I pa__sed a bit of blood (from the empty sack) but it eventually ended up reabsorbing in my body. My doctor warned me though that if I were to conceive again that my chances were over 60% to conceive twins again. Good luck to you

I think the only thing different with my twin pregnancy so far (34 weeks) was that I had ma__sive morning sickness and had to be put on IV's daily to keep from being dehydrated. I lost 22 lbs due to being so sick, but it's all piled right back on and everything now is going great.
