I was just wondering how many of you had been told you were having monoamniotic twins and everything went smoothly? I am currently 11 weeks pregnant and my doc told me this at my last apointment which was about 2 weeks ago. I am still waiting for my app. with the obstetrician and I have been reading about all the high riskd involved with these types of twins, and I am freaking myself out. I really don't want anything to go wrong with these babies, and just today I have noticed that I am spotting a bit, but only when I go to the bathroom and wipe (sorry tmi) Have many of you spotted during your pregnancies and everything was okay because this is how my last m/c started and I don't think I am prepared for that again. Any thoughts?

Hello, my name is Katie and I'm new to this site and forum.I'm 10 weeks along with twins..only had one ultrasound, lots of printouts and they say there isn't a membrane dividing the babies. They said they will be idenitcal, but one is measuring 8.5 weeks, the other at 9 weeks. Does anyone have similar experience with early ultrasounds not finding a dividing membrane and only one yolk sac? I've read some of the postings hoping to get some good news on Monoamniotic twins that share one sac and one yolk sac. I have concerns, and lots of questions for anyone going thru the same thing, or anyone who's had successfull outcome with monoamniotic twins. PLEASE, I am very worried, I have read some very disturbing things about this condition, and need feedback. Thank you, everyone seems so kind on here..well, except for the one rude person :) not going to mention any names, you all know who I am talking about.

Hi ladies! First and foremost, congrats to all of you on your twin pregnancies! I consider it such a blessing, and am so grateful to be able to chat with a bunch of women that know a heck of a lot more about this than I do! haha I have a 5 1/2 year old little girl. We've been trying for about 4 years to get pregnant (clomid, femara, artificial insemination, etc) Finally, I had enough! The stress of it all was killing me. We took a break from it all for 2 months, and bam! Pregnant with twins! What a blessing! I've had my first US (I'm 12 1/2 weeks) but I still feel as though it's all too good to be true. I worry constantly about my babies. From the US, it looks as though they are identical. They are in the same sac, but separated by a membrane. Of course everyone I tell this too proceeds to warn me of the risk of one twin stealing nutrients from the other. I know it does me no good to stress, but how do you keep your mind off of it?! Also, we go back in for an appt. at 15 weeks... do you think they'll be able to determine the s_x then? I too am showing, and think I have been since conception! haha It's gonna be a long 9 months :) Good luck to all of you!

Hello beautiful women! Well here I am pregnant with identical twins! But believe it or not, these little bundles of joy are my first! And hopefully not last! My husband and I have been married for 2 1/2 years, and have failed to get pregnant time, and time again. But then ou of the blue one day I was sick, went to the doctor and found out I was pregnant. Just like Jamielee said, it truly was a blessing! At my third U/S is when we found out it was twins! my husband and I are so very excited! My whole pregnancy has been amazing! I started to feel little flutters at about 11 weeks! (My husband likes to say the flutters are the babies' angel wings!) I am about 28 weeks! Safe to say the flutters are now kicks! I catch myself feeling my stomache 24/7 to make sure its not just a dream! we know that baby A is a girl! We decided to keep baby B a suprise! But for baby A her name will be: Leila. and B: for girl: Lilah. for boy: Lance. Good names? I am really showing now! I am pretty big, and I eat TONS! How will I loose the weight? I dont know, but as long as I have those beautiful babies at my side I know I will be happy! The twins are doing great, but, should I go through Vaginal delivery, or C-section? My doctor says its up to me, and the babies. So which would you urge me to do? I will keep try to keep posted on everything! Thank you!

Wow! I still get notifications of this thread being updated. My twins are now 5 years old and perfectly healthy even though they were born at 32 weeks. If you get a choice, I would say v____al delivery because c-section is much longer recovery time. But, sometimes you just don't get a choice! I had Spencer vag, but Corbin decided to be stubborn (as Corbin tends to be to this day lol) and I ended up having a c-section for him. Good luck to you!

Hello :) Congratulations to everyone on there pregnancies! My names Danielle and I'm 18 years old, I am 17 weeks pregnant with identical twins sharing the same placenta, I'm not sure if they are in the same sac? I am from England but have recently been living in Spain and the doctors here where I am living arent very good to be completly honest, I am going back to England in 4 days and I am soo excited to see all of my family and I'm going to need my mum by my side! Out here in Spain I have only had 1 blood test, is this normal? and everytime I have a scan they tell me everything is fine but no detail, that is literally it "everything is fine" I havent been told about the sac, I was only told they are identical and they are sharing a placenta, I'm quite wworried that they are maybe not as qualified as they should be and really cannot wait to get back to England and find a good doctor. I'm gettnig big now at 17 weeks and have felt those first flutters! Me and my boyfriend (20) cant wait to meet them! I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me :) thank everyone xx

DanielleMarie: I was just reading through these forums and I saw your post. Most people on this post has not posted anything since May. I am glad I checked this because maybe I can help you. I am from the US and I also had twins that shared a placenta. I am not sure how the health care in Spain is, but here in the US, there are several more tests that I had to take. For example: A blood glucose tolerance test (determines whether or not you have Gestational Diabetes). Gestational diabetes is where you have a kind of diabetes when you are pregnant and only when you are pregnant. There are more tests that I had to have done besides just one. I would definatly recommend when you get back to England to definatly find you another doctor as soon as possible. When I was pregnant at 17 weeks I was also pretty big. I looked about 6 months pregnant. You are only going to get bigger. :). Your entire body is about to change dramatically. Congrats on the twins. Everything is going to be ok. Around 24-26 weeks you need to take it easy.
