I was playing with Barbie dolls at age 14. I just can't believe the yound mothers out there! I do respect you for going through with the pregnancy rather than abortion but I can't imagine doing it at your age. I hope you have lots of friends and family to help you get through this. Hi Michelle. I think it's great that you're looking for help for your baby. If you're close to your parents, grandparents, sister, aunt, whomever, STAY close with them. They will be a wonderful strengthening aid for you and will help you with the responsibilities you will be taking on. And accept your responsibilities, you ARE responsible for this child. Don't expect someone else (i.e. mom) to take care of the child for you so that you can go hang out with your girlfriends like you used to. A child is not a burden, if you don't allow it to be. Life is not over, yes, it will change drastically, but your baby is a new life that you can help shape. Children cannot be spoiled by love, only lack of discipline. You're a mother now, it will be hard, but lean on your friends/family (but not too awful much, becoming dependent on others won't help your child to respect you) and they will help you to make it. Another great source of help, the Bible. It has so many guidelines, and all still very much practical. Prayer can help to strengthen you. If you're not religious, excuse my faith, please.
